Traditional Stone Villa Olympia en Corfú, Vigla - Impresionantes vistas al mar, para 8 personas

A una altitud de 250m sobre el nivel del mar, el Olympia Villa ofrece unas vistas impresionantes de la campiña circundante y el mar Jónico. Originalmente construido en 1864 con piedra blanca y rosa, los propietarios han restaurado con amor la Villa Olympia a su antigua gloria. Todos los aspectos tradicionales de la vivienda original se han conservado, pero todas las instalaciones de una villa moderna también están en su lugar.

La gran villa de dos pisos comprende la mayoría de los alojamientos en la primera planta con 3 dormitorios, baños, sala de estar y cocina comedor. En la planta baja hay un dormitorio de invitados y una segunda sala de estar con las vigas de madera expuestas del piso de arriba. Muebles antiguos tradicionales sirve como un recordatorio de la edad y la belleza de esta villa de piedra.

Al lado de la villa es una zona de terrazas con barbacoa abierta y muebles de comedor para comer al aire libre en las noches cálidas. Los altos muros de piedra en la misma piedra de color rosa y blanco para que coincida con la villa rodean la piscina privada y ofrecen privacidad y aislamiento para el adorador del sol. Alternativamente, el huésped más activo podrá disfrutar de la gama de paseos ofrecidos por la campiña exuberante o excursiones de un día a los pueblos de pescadores de Kouloura y Kalami a sólo 4 km de distancia, con atractivas tabernas frente al agua para relajarse y ver el mundo pasar.

Stunning views and comfortable villa

We had a wonderful week at Villa Olympia! Situated at the top of a winding road overlooking spectacular views across to the Albanian mainland, the villa is ideally located with easy access to local beaches, tavernas and amenities. We enjoyed exploring by car and by boat, took the local 'ferry' to Corfu Town, and also visited the waterpark. Lovely spots for snorkeling and swimming. And attentive host who answered any queries we had. Loved it - highly recommend!

Truly wonderful family holiday

Our family of five (children aged 19, 16 and 12) stayed at Villa Olympia for a week. Our time here was absolutely wonderful in every way - it's a stunning home with everything we needed to relax and escape. We spent our days exploring the local surrounds (Kassiopi and Kalami were favourite spots for swimming, eating and drinking) and our afternoons and evenings we lounged around the gorgeous pool and cooked simple Mediterranean dishes in the well-equipped kitchen. Air conditioning in all bedrooms was much appreciated. It's a very quiet, remote house - we loved this - so a hire car is a must (be prepared for a steep climb!) A local cat adopted us for the week, which only enhanced our stay. All up, a brilliant week that gave all five of us just what we needed from a holiday.

Lovely Spot with everything you need

Fantastic! stunning views, the villa is perfect, the pool and pool area are ideal. Provided pool towels were a great idea. Instructions for waste and recycling would be useful. Per other reviews the drive up there might be a challenge for a novice driver, but after you've done it a couple of times it is no problem.

Ladies for a birthday party

We had the most magical week at this villa. It was clean and quiet and we swam in the pool everyday. The pool is gorgeous with a water feature that trickles from a beautiful rock wall. We had meals that we prepared in the kitchen and ate by the pool. There is a place to use coals for grilling and there was everything we needed. We had one day of needing help sorting out the washing machine with only Greek instructions and we got the help we needed from the owners. The drive up to the house is substantial. Only one in our party felt brave enough to handle the steep roads and switchbacks. But everyone agreed that it was worth it for the views out over the water from up in the mountains. The breeze at the villa was heavenly even when it was very hot down in the towns. It was always a relief to return there if we spent the day out exploring the island. There's also a very sweet spot to eat at a table off the kitchen in a little courtyard that we didn't discover until we'd been there a few days. Honestly, we are all still reeling from how fantastic it felt to be in such a beautiful place for a whole week.

Stone villa

We had a wonderful holiday at the Stone villa. Tassos the owner met us and welcomed us to his beautiful villa. We explored the local area and went to the amazing beaches along that coast , so a car is essential I would say. The restaurants were very good too, although we did cook at home quite a bit. The facilities at the villa were very good, dishwasher and washing machine very much appreciated with 7 of us staying. Would highly recommend staying at this villa.

Die Lage des Objektes ist hervorragen. Die Aussicht zu Ionischen Meer is einfach grandios.

Vermieter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Objekt ist genial und hält, was die Beschreibung verspricht. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht, findet sie hier. Wer dem Tourismus - Trubel aus dem Weg gehen will, ist hier richtig. Mit einem Mietauto (unbedingt erforderlich) lassen sich alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel erkunden. Wenn wir noch einmal auf die Insel kommen, dann auf jeden Fall in dieses wunderschöne Haus. Danke an den Vermieter.

Amazing house

We spend a wonderful week here. The house is super clean and beautiful, the interior is chosen so well, it adds to the character of the charming house. The view is breathtaking and the pool was just perfect to cool down. The first time it is a little adventurous to drive up the road but once you get the hang of it is not a big deal. It was a memorable holiday. We loved it.

Sehr schönes Haus mit tollem Ausblick

Das Ferienhaus ist eine wunderbar und im Detail liebevoll restaurierte Villa in Vigla auf Korfu und bietet durch Ihre Lage, oben auf dem Berg, eine spektakuläre Aussicht. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet. Die Besitzer und auch die Agentur sind sehr bemüht den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Wie auch vorherige Besucher festgestellt haben, sollte man ein kleines Auto mit starlem Motor mieten um die Serpentinen zum Haus einfach hochzukommen. Ansonsten können wir das Haus sehr empfehlen.

Our lovely holiday in corfu

The charming villa was clean and spacious. Upon our arrival we were met by Olympia and her son who were very welcoming. The pool was clean and our children spent lots of time in there. There is a lovely view from the villas position. The couple that owned the villa were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Good communication with George and was quick to respond to emails prior to our holiday starting.

Authentische Villa mit phänomenaler Aussicht

Der überaus angenehme und hilfsbereite Besitzer hat hier ein Schmuckstück zu vermieten. Ca. 150 Jahre altes und absolut sinnvoll ausgestattetes Haus mit herrlichem Pool, in echt noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Die Bäder sehen lange nicht so altbacken aus wie auf den Bildern, einzig der Wasserdruck ist oft recht schwach. Ab und an wird auch mal der Strom für ein paar Stunden abgestellt, hat aber nicht gestört. Das Haus liegt in einem kleinen Bergdorf mit sehr abenteuerlicher Anfahrt, aber trotzdem nur wenige Minuten abseits der Hauptstrasse und schöner Strände wie z.B. Kalami Beach. Innerhalb einer Autostunde liegen 2/3 aller sehenswerten Ziele auf Korfu. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Tavernen sind ebenfalls in 15 bis 20min in grösserer Zahl zu finden, zu Fuss geht es auch ins Panorama Grill House im Nachbardorf Porta (echter Geheimtip, preiswertes, gutes und inseltypisches Essen auf sensationeller Terasse). Man sollte kein zu grosses Auto mieten, Nissan Note ist ausreichend, denn die Strassen sind unglaublich schmal. Man gewöhnt sich aber dran, wenn man ein paar mal die Strasse zum Haus gefahren ist, der Ausblick unterwegs ist einfach fantastisch. Wir hatten hier mit 4 Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern eine tolle Zeit und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Beautiful Villa and Owner

This was the first time we stayed in Corfu, compared to all other island holidays in the Mediterranean and Adriatic, this holiday in Corfu is the most beautiful. The beautiful, stylish villa in old traditional style of the corfiats contributed to this. The villa is located on a hill, where you have a beautiful undisturbed view to the sea. The hill is full of olive trees, the view to the olive forest is fantastic. It is absolutely quiet and very natural. The nearest beach is 5 minutes away by car, other major cities are 10 to 20 minutes away. We spent most of the time in the beautiful pool, even at 10 pm the water is pleasant, not to cold for swimming or just lying in the water and looking at the sea. The villa has bed for 8 people and has 4 lovely bedrooms, three of them have sea views. The interior of the rooms is high quality and with much love compiled. Around the house there is a garden and a patio where wonderful breakfasts and dinners can be enjoyed. The dinner becomes a pleasure. The swimming pool is quite large and always clean, at night the pool is lighted, swimming at nights makes incredible fun. In the house and in the outdoor area are enough nice seats available. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They not only take care of clean fresh laundry but also the cleaninng of the pool and garbage disposal. Our holiday was so beautiful because the villa was so big and beautiful, the owners have supported us in everything. Really great people. Efharisto Tasso’s.

Très belle maison située dans ma partie préférée de l'île. L’environnement est reposant et calme.

L’accueil a été parfait. C’est une maison de famille rénovée avec goût. Plusieurs terrasses: une pour le petit déjeuner, une pour le déjeuner, un coin sieste près de la piscine, un bon aménagement à l’intérieur. Au moins trois changements de drap en deux semaines service au top. Nous ne regrettons pas notre choix. Maison fortement conseillée.

Beautiful villa

Wonderful location away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. Very pleasant walks nearby up to the Panorama taverna and the bar in Porta. The building has been well restored and retains many original features and overall has a very attractive mellow feeling. Highly recommended.
