Med Point recientemente remodelado, la mejor casa de playa romántica, French Leave Beach

Med Point es la mejor casa de playa de 1 dormitorio en la mejor playa del mejor municipio de Eleuthera. Es una PLAYA ROMÁNTICA, SECRETA Y CON ESTILO DE UNA HABITACIÓN FRENTE AL MAR, ubicada en Casuarina Beach y a solo 100 'de French Leave Beach (anteriormente conocida como Club Med Beach para el complejo Club Med que se encontraba allí en los años 90). Está en el punto entre las 2 playas. No hay otras propiedades entre ella y la mundialmente famosa French Leave Beach. Está a un corto paseo de Twin Coves Beach y su magnífico arrecife de snorkel. Slice of heaven!

We had a fantastic time at Med Point Cottage! it was plenty large for two people and decorated so tastefully. We would not hesitate in the future to come back to this cottage. The views are spectacular!

Beautiful location

Excellent location. Nice place but needing some work. The screen doors would fall off when operating. It was a little short on amenities but that was rectified immediately. Would highly recommended the stay and all of the people that hosted us were wonderful

The courage itself was in a bit of a tired condition. The sliding glass door in the bedroom did not lock. The beaches next to the cottage are some of the best on the island.

We could not have found a better place for beautiful views, comfortable living, and privacy. We are fortunate to have traveled to Eleuthera several times this visit was definitely one of the best. Christine is so friendly and helpful checking on us near daily; and her Pineapple Upside Down cake and Key Lime pie is as she says, “ the best on the island”. Having the Alfred House unoccupied was appreciated sooooo much!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Med Point was an absolute dream! Gorgeous views from every window, two of the prettiest and most private beaches on either side of you. You are also within walking distance to Twin Coves which is beautiful. The cottage was very coastal, bright and secluded! It had the necessities needed to make meals during our week stay. Sherri the caretaker went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay and answered any questions I had about the area. We really did not want to leave and hope to be back to Med Point on our next visit!

Amazing honeymoon

We had the best time at Med Point, very relaxing and much needed after the stress of a wedding! The house and beaches were absolutely beautiful. Sonia was easily accessible if needed. There was an issue with the key prior to our arrival, so we had the leave the house unlocked at all times when we were away which made us a bit neevous, but is was all fine. A few things I would suggest- having some sort of welcome book or guide available- for example we didn’t know where to take the trash out too. And there’s was only one beach chair. At least one more chair, and the house definitely needs a beach umbrella for guest use. Also perhaps a small cooler to bring cold drinks to the water and lastly an outdoor shower head to rinse off after the ocean. Other than that, this place is amazing. Very remote, and I would say a 4x4 car is required- the road in and out is prettt hairy in a couple of places!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Med Point Beach House is an amazing location straddling two beautiful beaches. It is perfect for those looking for a quiet escape. There is only one house close by and it was empty during our stay. We only encountered a few people during our daily walk of the beaches. The dirt road to the house is bumpy and best done with a 4-wheel drive vehicle. There is a large deck overlooking the beach, coral garden and a small island. The house is clean, well stylized with comfortable furniture, and fairly well equipped. It could benefit from better kitchen utensils. Albeit at little slow (as expected as there are no land lines), internet service was reliable.

We don’t recommend this house

It was our 30th anniversary The house wasn’t at all as described floor panel was old and make squeaky noise when you step on them we had issue with water going weak couple times you can’t take a shower or use the toilet Sliding doors to the deck are hard to open needs replacement The deck is in very bad shape screws and some wood are coming out rails around the deck is falling down chairs and beach umbrella were rusted You have to wear your shoes to be able to walk on the deck Overall this place needs some major work We tried to check out early but the owner refused She didn’t even care that she ruined our anniversary Definitely we don’t recommend this place it is not what you read in the descriptions we wish they were more honest Location of the house Is nice even though it is not on a beachfront but it is a walking distance from French leaves beach

Oceanfront bliss

Reviewer Comments: Had complete privacy from this romantic oceanfront stunning home, except a few walkers in front of home but they were always respectful. this homes is set between two amazing beaches Casuarina Beach and French Leave Beach with the incredible pink sand and crystal clear water. Twin coves beach was 5 min ride from house and quite stunning as well. Our drawback was as soon as sun was setting and we would be on deck watch turtles right in front of home we were bit up pretty bad. We purchased 4 mosquito candles and mosquito repellent coils used deep woods off / wipes / oils but nothing seemed to keep them at bay. An umbrella for back deck as well as for beach would be a wonderful addition as it is hard to find shade in the hot sun. The bed was a bit too firm for us, adding a soft thicker mattress topper would be ideal. We did lose electricity more frequently than in any other home we have rented on island but it never stayed off more than two hours. Caretaker was very responsive to any questions we had. We absolutely loved this home because of its location and privacy and will definitely rent again.

Beautiful home/location - experience needs some attention to detail

This home is perfectly located on the water and near two beaches as described. It's very private, and you couldn't ask for better views of the ocean. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, and the tools you need to prepare a meal. We found the home clean and generally well maintained. And the house is perfect for a couple. Our experience would have been better if we'd known before we booked that you cannot drink the tap water and need to rely on bottled water during your stay. The house would also benefit from a manual that explains how to use the television... it's not obvious which remote to use or which service to select. And we struggled to open many of the sliding glass doors... they could benefit from some repair or WD40. While the house manager/caretaker was lovely by email/whatsapp, we never met her. She said several times that she was coming by, but she never did. As a result, we lingered around the house awaiting her arrival and lost time to do other things and felt a bit overlooked, especially when we were hoping to resolve issues with the home. We did end up cutting our week on Eleuthera short by four days. While frustrations with power and internet outages at the house contributed to that decision, I would still say this house is a lovely place to retreat and spend time.

From delicious local food to the vibrant Bahamian culture, it was a day filled with experiences that will stay with us for a long time (forever).Med Point Cottage is a rare gem, offering the best of both worlds: the serenity of a beachfront haven and the conveniences needed to stay connected. Whether you're looking to unwind, work remotely, or explore the beauty of the Bahamas, this place is nothing short of perfection. We can’t wait to return!

Ocean Front Paradise

Reviewer Comments: Very Spacious 1 bedroom house with King Bed, rest on the water’s edge just off of French Leave Beach (One of the top ranked beaches of Eleuthera). The private deck makes for an incredible morning to walk out and enjoy the view with a cup of coffee or secluded sun bathing during the day. We loved it! The property is very secluded and a little challenging to get to, but that is what helps give this place its privacy. It’s less than a 5 min drive or 30 min walk to Gov. Harbor, local coffee shops, and restaurants. They did have a place to rinse your feet off outside, my only recommendation would be for owner to add an outside shower. Otherwise it was truly perfect.

The villa was very comfortable, updated, and the beach and views are spectacular. Having said that, please know that there are basically zero provisions in the house. Do not assume the very, very basics like salt, pepper, sugar, bug spray, soaps, shampoos, etc. The television only works with streaming. We were unable to get any regular television but the Internet was very reliable.. Bring your own music! . It was a little disappointing that it was so ill equipped being that far off the beaten path. Overall, midpoint is a great place and I would stay there again.

Off the beaten path which is part of what makes it special-you need an SUV to get to the cottage. We love to cook and brought spices and oil which was helpful. Great walking beaches and had a few days with low winds and did some snorkeling off the beach which was great.

We love to cook, and it would’ve been nice for the kitchen to have a bit more in the way of utensils and supplies and a dishwasher but we were certainly able to manage. We would definitely rent again!

Magical week

This property did not disappoint! The view was great the seclusion was wonderful and everyone associated with the property was very helpful. There was enough to do on the island to keep us busy, but we enjoyed the relaxing time on our beach. We only saw a handful of people the whole time we were on the beach, which was nice. We are certainly hoping that we can return again soon!

Location, location, location

Perched on the point between two stunning beaches with the most glorious sunrises. Also centrally located on the island, which was great for venturing to the many other amazing beaches. As others stated, Christine is a real gem. Took her up on arranging a welcome meal for the first night there. Her coconut pie is amazing! The cottage is just as pictured and described, a spacious beach spot. There was some modest wear on the walls, towels, and fixtures, but clean, comfy, and more than enough space for two. My only nit picky complaint was I wish there was an ice try to make a few cubes of ice and not have to purchase a whole bag. We didn’t do much cooking, mostly snacking at the cottage, but was ample space to do so. Remember to bring or prepared to buy spices and such. Also bring soft cooler or insulated bag to take down to the beach. The freezer had some cooling packs in it for use. WiFi and the start TV worked well if you need to take a break from the sun. The main house was considerably closer than I anticipated but not a deal. We could hear the kids playing in the pool now and then buts that’s about it. The neighboring guest had visited the island many times before and were a very helpful resource when we had car rental issues. Christine also offered to help in a pinch. Would definitely return to Med Point.

Blissful Beach

This was our second stay at Med Point and we loved every minute! The caretaker, property manager, and owner are super responsive. Everything at the property was perfect. The beaches adjacent to the home are beautiful. We can’t wait to book our next trip.

Relaxing Getaway

Great location with nice set up and items. Having the beach chairs and umbrellas made our beach/book time much better. Walked right on to the beach and could walk uninterrupted for miles.

Superlative in every way

As others have previously stated, Med Point Cottage is an amazing location. It is thirty feet away from the surf with five floor-to-ceiling sliding doors providing a panoramic view. And yet, there is complete privacy. (There were no bed bugs.) To the right is the well-known French Leave pink sand beach. It’s a mile long and we never saw more than six people on it the whole eight days we were there. To the left is Casuarina beach. It’s about a half mile long and we were the only people on the beach the whole time except for a couple of people on walks. There is a large five-bedroom house behind the cottage (same owner) but you have almost no sense that it, or its occupants, are there. We were met by Christine Rolle, the resident manager for both houses. She was delightful. She advised that the washing machine was being replaced, but then she immediately offered to do our laundry for us The cottage interior has been thoughtfully decorated. Very simple. Very white. Interesting prints on the walls. The recessed halogen lighting creates a dramatic presentation of the space at night. There are three very silent ceiling fans and one very quiet air conditioner that do a fine job of keeping the house cool. Mentions were made about the firmness of the king-sized bed. We can confirm that is it very firm. We were fine with it. Others may not be. The house is about a one-hour drive from the North Eleuthera airport and is ten minutes from Governor’s Harbor. Others have mentioned the rough road that must be navigated to get to the house. It is, most definitely, rough. A car can make it if you’re gentle, but having an SUV is a much better idea. A few comments about shopping. There are two small grocery stores in Governor’s Harbor: Eleuthera Supply and Burrows. The selection at both is similar, but Burrows accepts credit cards whereas Eleuthera is all-cash. The availability of fresh vegetables and fruit is very limited. Very limited. And fresh herbs are non-existent. Better bring them with you. The most bizarre shopping problem is finding fresh fish. Before arriving, we read that local fishmen bring their catch to certain designated places in Governor’s Harbor and James Cistern. Maybe they do. But no matter what time, or which town, we would try, we would always hear that it was “too rough to go out,” or “he went out late and won’t be back until five,” etc. We gave up and bought some frozen tuna.

The big house next to the cottage was empty so it was very private. The Med Point cottage was very clean and spacious. It had everything we needed. We loved being right on the water and being able to walk the beautiful beaches everyday. Snorkeling right from the house was amazing! We will definitely be coming back!Tips: If you fly in on a Sunday grocery stores close by 3pm so bring what you need for the first day. Bug spray is a most and needs to be applied early and often! Good water shoes will come in handy as the rocks by the water are sharp. We loved walking into town and stopping at the bakery, coffee shop, liquor/grocery store and dining at Buccaneers. The road to the house is rough so like others have said a SUV is nice but we could only get a minivan and it was doable. Remember you’re on island time so RELAX and don’t stress the little things. Enjoy!

Bed bugs! Nice location, but do not go here

Do not go here. There was a massive bed bug infestation during our entire stay. My wife and I had approx 200 bites each on our bodies. Bed, floors, couches, rugs all infested. Property manager was informed. She did a spray and some laundry. That did not make the bugs go away. Then she got mad at us for saying they were still there! We had to do a deep cleaning and disinfection when we got home to prevent transfer of bugs to our house. No washer / dryer as promised. Cable and internet went out. Road to villa very rough. Must have jeep.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this rental is fabulous! I will suggest to rent a jeep to get to it. The proximity to two of the most beautiful beaches, French Leaves and Twin Cove, cannot be beat! It has most things for you. Depending on when you get there you might want to ask for coffee and filters. We got in later and didn't have it first thing next day. Make sure you bring good bug spray for the No See um'! This is just what you have to do in the Bahamas. It is close to all the restaurants and our favorite town Governor's Harbour. This is where you want to stay! The couches are comfortable and the place is the perfect size. The mattress is VERY firm. That is my only thing I wish they would get a better mattress bc it is like a board. Everything else is perfection! You must get a pie from Christine the property manager. They are DELICIOUS!
