Weekend Getaway
The cottage was everything we needed for a quick getaway. The cottage was very clean, we had plenty of room for two and had everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The host text to make sure we arrived and had no issues getting in, I thought this was very thoughtful. We will definitely come back.

A Gem of a Place!
I was in Mentone for a retreat for homeschool moms and decided to stay and extra night in town. I found this place which was affordable and super cute! The furniture and decor was so neat! I especially loved the use of doors as decor throughout the suite! Claire was super accommodating and responsive. She and her husband had to come help me get in my suite because I thought the code wasn't working but it turns out I was at the door that leads to the basement! 🙈 They were very gracious. I will say that if you are a light sleeper you may have difficulty sleeping due to the fact that it's an older house and the floors creak. I could hear the other tenants walking on the floor in their rooms at times, but I brought a white noise machine and earplugs so that didn't bother me. Overall I highly recommend staying here!

Our vacation stay
Overall our stay was great! Close to places to eat. Close to places to visit I.e. train station museum, Alabama museum, Desoto falls etc. Only a few things that need to be addressed, the mattress dips at the head, hard to wash dishes at bathroom sink and the AC needs to be addressed. Although I may have not worked it correctly I had it on 68 and the room was still warm. But we did enjoy being away from home and having some quiet time. Would recommend this place for anyone who is looking to get away!!

Peaceful in the Heart of Fort Payne.
Loved the renovated old home. The decor was fitting for the home. I enjoyed walking down the strip of shops..I absolutely loved the train rolling through town and mountain back drop. I highly recommend this property rental. The owner was most helpful too in preparing my arrival and arrangements

We stayed in cottage 1. It was such a cute room. The size was bigger then I expected. It was spotless. Perfect if you want to shop down town. Overall was absolutely amazing. The 1 and only thing we should have looked into was the freezer. Very small so look before you buy anything frozen. The fridge was really good and cold and so was the a.c.
