When we first walked into the hotel, I told my husband we absolutely had to come back and stay here again. The room design, décor, and facilities were truly a visual delight. Everything looked beautiful and impressive.
However, about an hour later, I was shocked to realize that the railway tracks were right beside the hotel. You will fell like Harry Potter about to be summoned back to school. Even with the doors and windows fully closed, the noise and vibration were extremely loud. After checking online, I learned that trains run frequently both day and night.
I went to the front desk to ask if we could switch to a quieter room, as my baby would likely be startled awake repeatedly and wouldn’t be able to sleep at all. The front desk staff were very kind and helped us move to a room on the 19th floor facing another building. The unit was much smaller, and although we could still hear the trains, it was more tolerable, so I decided to accept it.
Unfortunately, I thought that was the end of the issue but another nightmare began at night. There was extremely loud clubbing music coming from the wharf area outside, continuing until 4 a.m. I could not sleep at all. The volume was incredibly loud. Either the hotel’s soundproofing is very poor, or the acoustics amplify outside noise. It was truly a nightmare. I have never experienced a hotel stay where noise kept me awake until 4.
Not recommended if you want a nice sleep and clean room.
