The restaurant was closed because it has no chef and so we had to drive to a sister hotel close by. If we had known this prior to the stay, we would have cancelled the booking as we specifically wanted to eat on premises after a long drive.

magical experience

The Chateau is set in beautiful parkland, and very peaceful. The hotel decor is amazing – an eclectic mix of Scandinavian cool and French voluptuousness. Our bedroom in the original building was huge, with an enormous bath from which one can look out at the park. Breakfast was one of the best we've eaten in France with an impressive array of excellent local produce. We received a warm and attentive welcome and the service was superb. Our only 'complaint' is that the design of the ensuite bathroom to our room was open-plan, and we felt that the absence of a door into the lavatory was a mistake....! But overall it was a delightful experience and we shall certainly hope to return – soon!

Beautiful hotel !

Amazing hotel, beautifully appointed, stunning rooms, stunning grounds. Rooms were very well equipped & designed, no aircon in our room but the room was pretty cool anyway in 35 degree heat (stone walls & window shutters helped). This was a bargain hotel for the price. Shame we only stayed here for one night. Would be a great place for a romantic weekend for a couple.

Hotel looks great from the outside, gardens, reception and dining room. Rooms very basic. No tea or coffee maker and basic quality furniture. Limited restaurant menu for our taste and quite expensive so we ate out.

Arrivée à 12h30 pour déjeuner sur place mais pas de restaurant le midi et Hotel fermé jusqu’à 15h. Heureusement le patron nous a emmené sur un autre site qu’il gère également et nous avons pu nous restaurer. 15 h et trois voitures attendent l’ouverture de l’hôtel et il a fallu un appel téléphonique à 15h15 pour pouvoir enfin accéder à notre chambre (surclassée sympa). Le repas du soir est agréable mais à 41€ on pouvait s’attendre à du frais. Petit déjeuner parfait buffet très large

Annulation quelques avant notre arrivée. Transfert sur l'autre hôtel à proximité. Retransfert au château. Au moment d'intégrer la chambre, de nouveau transfert à l'hôtel avec plus de 2 heures d'attente au bar ... Installation dans une chambre en cours de rénovation avec beaucoup de désagrément. Le réceptionniste à fait de son mieux. Nous avons donc quitté l'hôtel dès le lendemain matin et nous avons pu retrouver un hôtel du coté de Mende, conforme à nos attentes de repos et de calme...

Ça aurait pu être exceptionnel.

Séjour très bien, le château, les abords et la piscine sont splendides. Le sejour aurait été exceptionnel si les chambres dans l'annexe étaient du niveau d'un hôtel 4 * comme indiqué. Les parties communes sont vraiment banales sans charme, la chambre est correcte sans plus, sans bar sans climatisation. La salle de bains est clairement pas digne d'un 4 *, même pas d'un mauvais 2 * et la vmc très bruyante C' est vraiment dommage car ce séjour aurait pu être exceptionnel. Le personnel est très bien et très professionnel.
