I had the worst experience, and I am not the o e who right the reviews- but this one really got me! Upon check in the property is absolutely dirty- public hair, pee on a toilet, black mold stains, leaking shower head and hair and dirt in a shower, grey smelly towels and dirty sink with detached faucet. Kitchen had a dirty sink, stains on a countertop, dirty fridge and microwave with oily stains, living room carpet- covers with crumbs and dust bunnies. Property stated they would provide a luxury linens- Walmart microfiber is not luxury. I sent the pictures to the property management to fix - at 8 pm somebody knocked at the door(and I am along in the house 🤦), it was two cleaner who told me that they cleaned everything and they will leave me cleaning supplies tomorrow to clean ever by myself since I’m not satisfied . I contacted the management again asking for the house to be cleaned next day- they vacuumed the carpet and wiped the microwave- the rest of the house is still dirty but as they promised- they leaved a bottle of bleach cleaner for me on a toilet , thanx. Attached the pictures of the property. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

Not quiet after the first night the cabin beside us was rented to a bunch of people in side by side buggies whobwere in and out all night. So no sleepnthe last 2 daysbof our trip at all.

Excellent Getaway

Stayed 3 nights while visiting son at Concord University which was about 20 minutes away. The cabin was excellent, exactly as described, we will stay again next time in area. Great host. No issues at all.

Truly a "Retreat"

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at the Retreat at Camp Creek.  It is a beautiful and comfortable vacation home, and proved to be a far better choice than staying in a hotel. Thank you for providing us with a truly outstanding "retreat".

Anniversary get away

Truly enjoyed our stay at the retreat. peaceful and quiet yet close to conveniences. lost power during Hurricane Helene and generator was a blessing. enjoyed the porches and would have enjoyed the fire pit had it not been raining. enjoyed walks around property and down to the pond. thank you for sharing the Retreat with us...

Relaxing Getaway

It was the best vrbo that we've stayed in. The firepit and supply of firewood made for nice nights outside in the quiet wilderness. The house was so clean and supplied with all the basics. The only suggestion would be to add a dishwasher since I am not much of a manual washer type. :-) Other than that everything was so amazing and I definitely will be back during the winter.

Secluded but modern

We loved this property. Everything felt new and clean. Trouble with wifi the first day, but the property manager came out and fixed it that night. Appreciated having coffee and tea there, as well as firewood by the fire pit. Having a laundry onsite was also fantastic. Only minor thing i would recommend would be to have a bottle of all purpose cleaner available. Otherwise, it was pretty perfect and we hope to stay again!

Camp Creek Stay

We had a nice stay overall. The place was clean and spacious but on arrival the door code did not work. This caused some initial anxiety obviously. It was handled fairly quickly. I had asked a property host before we booked if there was AC and was told yes.. 3 nights into the stay we discovered this was not true. It got very uncomfortable for sleeping. My husband has allergies that ceiling fans blowing dust etc irritate.Not sure if it was outright misleading or a mistake but got a half hearted “thanks for your kind understanding”. We were there 6 nights and two of them were very uncomfortable. I definitely would not stay here in the summer!

Perfect cabin in the woods!

The stay was great! The house is very large with several places to sleep besides the 2 beds. Besides personal hygiene items & food nothing else was needed. We did bring laundry soap, but was provided too. Enough TP for a couple days. We couldn’t get the main tv to log in to our apps. They did have a DVD player & provided movies. I’d bring your favorites! Also to the hosts, during winter weather you may provide salt. The ramp on the deck was very slick! But again was still a great stay! A sweet lady on the property brought us a flashlight & batteries due to storms!

Camp Creek Mountain Cabin Getaway

Such a lovely cabin to getaway! Just the perfect location and perfect timing of the season to go. The drive was absolutely beautiful with many scenic views. The property was well equipped, and loved that we could grill everyday, Felt very secure with the fencing around the firepit area. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

Great Getaway.

My wife and grandson (11 years old) had a great stay. Close enough to the resturants but far away enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of Mother Nature. It is a mile back in the mountains with easy access. We are planning a return stay.

Retreat

We were in the area for an archery tournament. It was a last minute trip so limited accommodations available. I saw the listing pictures were nice easy to book. When we got there pictures didn’t do it justice. It is a roomy lovely cabin the wrap around porch is what caught my eye spent a lot of time out there.Beautiful area to walk nice fire pit and so very quiet. Also very clean,beds comfortable easy check in and out. Grounds well maintained. Was a perfect retreat!I highly recommend this listening.

Great place to get away....

If you are looking for a great place to get away this is it! The owner is very nice and responsive. We were able to play in the creek at the bottom of the hill which was very nice (but keep in mind a rigorous walk). It was a great central location to all the parks near by that we wanted to see, as I was mostly interested in all the waterfalls. Definitely once in a lifetime experience.

The Retreat Weekend

What a hidden gem in the hills of WV! The owner was so nice and is nearby and available if needed. Excited to go back. It was perfect for our family. Try this place out, you will not be dissapointed.

WV Mountain Getaway

Our family of 5 stayed here for a long weekend ski trip at winterplace and we really enjoyed the wooded location and amenities provided by the owner of this property. All the furnishings were clean, new and quite thoughtfully selected. We would definitely stay here again!
