"We were 8 days in this beautiful cottage at a great spot at the pond. There was a friendly welcome of delicious cakes. We found the house very complete and clean. "The property is very clean and cozy. Set back from the road and on a hill behind some trees it's very private and quiet.It is completely silent at night for a very restful sleep. The property is at the end of La Manche road which is a dead end road ending at the start of a great hiking path that leads to a very scenic area and suspension bridge. Breathtaking scenery.We arrived at about 1 am in pitch black and our GPS told us we arrived at our destination next to what appeared to be a driveway. After almost dumping the rental car into the lake and creeping about the other cabins on the road for some time we found the cabin.Advice for others looking to find this property in the dark... drive as far as you can to the end of the road. Then around and it's the 3rd driveway on the left.Thank you Jerry and Shirley for your prompt responses and suggestions on things to do in the area. We had a wonderful time on our first trip to Newfoundland."
