"Robert has done an amazing job renovating the property, there is so much attention to detail and the design is very well thought out. At the time of writing the photos don't do it justice. The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant to spend time in. There are some interesting things to look at in the living area too, including local interest books, musical instruments, games, pictures and a curio cabinet. The location is quiet and picturesque for those who prefer to be outside the city but is still a convenient drive from shops, attractions and St. John's. It's located right on the ECT, convenient for hiking. I visited for a solo photography getaway in winter. Keep in mind many businesses catering to tourists close for the season. However, if you like the great outdoors there's still much to see in the area within a 1 hour drive and you won't have to deal with crowds."

"Tors Cove is a charming and quiet little community with incredible ocean views. We feel extremely fortunate to have stayed at this property for our week vacation this past summer. The cottage was spacious, uncluttered and well maintained. We loved the open concept living space with all of the natural light streaming through the A-frame windows. Bedrooms were very comfortable and bright and the bathroom spacious with a washer/dryer combo that was incredibly helpful. The view of the ocean from the cottage was absolutely stunning and perfect for whale and boat watching right from the deck. We spent time walking the trails within the community down to the rocky beach where we skipped rocks, collected various sea treasures and watched an incredible show of a group of Northern Gannets "torpedo diving" for their dinner! We hoped to take more advantage of the East Coast Trail, which is right off the property entrance gate, but unfortunately one of our daughters had sprained her ankle the week we left for our vacation. We quickly pivoted our plans and took advantage of other nearby adventures including Sea Kayaking in Cape Broyle and a Zodiac Tour operating out of Petty Harbour. So many whales, seabirds and cave exploring. We also enjoyed a few days in and around St. John's, which was only a quick 30 minute drive from Tors Cove. Thank you Frank & Sandra for sharing your North Atlantic Oasis ... we hope to get back again for more memorable adventures!"

"Million dollar view was hampered by tall trees. Very deceiving. No closets, hangers, hooks or drawers (already full), to store our clothing. No practical hooks in the bathroom. Miniscule counter space in bathroom (a shelf would be welcomed). With the window in the main bedroom facing the road we were disturbed early in the morning (6am) by traffic noise (trucks, trailers, quads, etc.). Mattress sagged considerably in the middle."

"We all enjoyed the amazing location and spectacular views from the back deck overlooking a range of islands. Only about an hour from St. John's (at most), we felt far away and visited many trails, sites such as Ferryland, and family who still live in the area. The outdoor hot tub was an extra treat."
