"The breakfast was fresh (a buffeta of: rice, beans, plantains, fresh fruit (pineapple, watermelon, and papaya), eggs, chorizo, ham, potatoes and toast). The staff seemed nice and one of them used a translator on her phone to communicate in English with me upon arrival when I asked if I had a balcony with a view of the beach. It was a VERY small balcony just large enough to stand on and if I looked ALL the way to the right I could see the beach. Other than that I would look at an empty lot used for parking coach buses and a few cows. The doors to the balcony did not lock well at first until I realized that you must hold one side securely while forcing the other door into place and then forcing the lock down. The AC was not on when I walked in and the room was very hot and it took me a while to find the remote to turn on the unit because there were three remotes and the white one that I needed. Before I realized that I attempted to turn the unit on by using the controller on the wall which is inoperable. I began to call the front desk for assistance but the phone didn't actually work. There was no cover on the bed just a small sheet. But my main issue was the shower pressure that was non-existent and cold. I had one hot shower after complaining and the rest were cold and just a trickle of water. The shower also pointed in the wrong direction and got the floor wet. "

"I think in my opinion, they can have more activities for adults and children during the day time and in the evening. We hoped there was more to do in the evening. Otherwise, everything else was good. "

"Beautiful room with nice view. Nice wildlife and fauna to check out by the beach and on the golf course. Very attentive and pleasant staff. From arrival to departure, everyone was kind and not overbearing. Food was very good and not as overpriced as elsewhere. Pool was clean and easy to find chairs and towels. Beach was pretty, but not too nice otherwise. The sand is rocky and could use some upkeep on the paths to the beach. No shade on the beach. No hassles on the beach and there is a public beachfront area within walking distance with cheaper drink and food options as well as a small liquor store/grocery a few blocks in. Marina within walking distance also has some nice options. Definitely check out the nature tours- a highlight. Nearby town Jaco (15 min by Uber) has a couple of decent food options, but is a bit wild and seedy at night."

"The stay was amazing and the images matched the vibes! My only recommendation is to ensure that you are clear on whether your meal includes gluten as the hotel menu doesn't spell that out clearly. Also, beware of limited and tight parking."
