We tried to check in after 4 pm and our room hadn’t been cleaned yet; front desk staff weren’t very courteous; we stayed for two nights and when we got back in the afternoon our room keys didn’t work, and desk staff didn’t ask to see my id before giving me new keys. Bathtub was very slippery and there was no mat and no safety grab bars.

We came in at 4:00 to check in, only to be told our room wasn't ready yet. Check in is at 4:00, so all rooms should be ready by then. The girl at the desk said she would text or call when the room was ready. We sat in the breakfast area for over an hour, waiting. We had a concert we were hoping to get ready for, but lost that hour + of time. Finally, after not getting any update or call, I went to desk to check the status of our room, and it was ready. How long had it been ready? Nobody bothered to let us know, and no discount or anything else was offered. Super disappointed, as this is one of our favorite hotels to stay at in Duluth.

We loved everything about the property. The room was roomy and well equipt. Beds were comfortable and the place was quiet. Elevators were fast and every staff member we ran into was friendly and helpful. There are restaurants of all kinds within a block. Two blocks from the Lift Bridge and other great attractions.

I had a good experience and would stay here again. A few small things that would improve my stay: there wasn't enough towels or extra bedding or toilet paper in the room. I had to call the front desk multiple times (although they immediately brought us what we needed every time.) The hot tub was broken and I was looking forward to using it and online said there was an arcade but there was not. Some positives was close parking that they didn't charge extra for, in a very walkable part of Duluth (Hoops Brewing in the same building which was great) the room itself was spacious and had a full size fridge which was amazing. There was a Continental breakfast and coffee all day which is rare these days and a nice plus. I did observe a lot of guests being delayed at check-in time. It didn't happen to me so I don't know what the issue was, but it looked like a frustrating problem. I thought it was a good value for my money.
