The front desk would not allow my wife to check in before I arrived and they made no attempt to allow me to verify her identity but instead were rude. A rep in the back office was needed to solve the problem. They also wouldn't allow her to use the business office. The process made my wife late for a business meeting.

As is typical with Hyatt. Nothing is ever complementary, they never do anything for their guests unless it's squeezing more money out of them. When I checked in, I was told I could get an upgrade to my room with a high floor and a view, of course I was like "oh thank you so much, it's my birthday" but then the representative said "it'll just be an extra $10/night." I felt a little bit like I was being nickeled and dimmed but decided "hey what the heck, let's do it." The upgraded view was of the AMC theatre building and the parking garage. The room itself was standard but there was a bit of a weird smell, I can't exactly compare it to anything but can say that it was unpleasant. If you want breakfast it'll cost you $32 per person which is suppose is to be expected now a days, dinner was on the expensive side and food was standard. Our first morning there, we asked to go up to the top floor, where the property markets an observation area available to the public but we were told it was not available that morning because it was being set up for an event. We just wanted to see the sunrise. Overall this is pretty much the experience we have had with Hyatt in the past. They pretend it is upscale, but in reality it's just standard. The customer service is, "I'll be nice to you but I expect extra compensation for it." This hotel chain will Nickle and dime you at every turn and honestly this is probably the last time we will stay at a Hyatt. It's consistently unpleasant.

Room and hotel was very comfy. Only issue I had was a woman who was seated outdoor near the valet who wouldn’t stop laughing like a baby elephant from 10pm-3am. My view was the capital building so we couldn’t sleep all night because of her. Very disappointed for the property for not addressing the disturbance because it was so late. Other than that, the hotel is very clean and staff is great. We just feel like the hotel should have addressed the loud noise.
