We loved staying in this cozy cabin for the weekend. It was a great location and easy to pull into the driveway. If you have large dogs, it may be a little tight inside, but it worked well for our two small dogs.

Great place to hide for a day or two and be part of nature. Pond where you can feed the fish while relaxing with the sound of the water running over the mill is a plus. Cabin was just ok, could have used more comfortable working space with more light and proper chairs as the main purpose of my trip was to finish a book - I’d discount that from my review since this was important for me but might not be for most people. Bed linen had not been replaced - the sheets had way too much hair and from different people - Having worked in hospitality I am pretty picky about this type of things - So I reported to the owner and she mentioned that new and additional linen were under the bed, so I think this is positive. Bathroom is ultra tiny (I’m 5’11 and couldn’t fit in the vanity space). Dogs loved the getaway and possibility to wander around the property and explore all the smells. Overall it was a good experience for a solo traveler like me. Would not bring my family though.

Overall very clean cabin but smaller than expected. We were unable to get the cabin as cool as desired as the mini split would only provide heat but the A/C in the bedroom provided enough for sleeping. The shower is very small and it would be difficult for larger people to use as would the sink area. Very tastefully decorated.

Very clean and comfortable small cabin. The porch is large and full of breezes. We were provided with everything we needed and the host checked in to make sure we were ok. (The bathroom window is stunning!)

Great getaway!

Adorable cabin, off the beaten path, but close to Boone, Blowing Rock (my favorite), and Grandfather Mt. The cabin has everything you need for a quick getaway. You can feed the fish in the pond, with food that is provided...very relaxing!

Great mountain trip!

Alyssa was so communicative and the property was quite cozy for a much-needed return “home” to the mountains. We had one very minor issue during our stay that we let her know about, and she was so gracious and responsive! Highly recommend!

Our stay at Wildcat cabin

The cabin is small but had everything we needed! We cooked in the kitchen and used the grill. Very quiet. We were able to easily get to Boone and several hiking trails. Communication and ease of booking were excellent.

Grad getaway

Made a long weekend out of nieces ASU graduation. Place was awesome, met our needs and was private, quiet, and relaxing. Our pooch loved walking around the small pond and watching the tadpoles. Great stay and thanks!

Lovely getaway

Great ammenities for a short weekend getaway to do some area mountain hiking. The hosts were extra kind to mail us a forgotten item. Will definitely recommend this location to others and we plan to be back!
