Located less than 1 hour from DC and Baltimore our farm offers a great place to get out and get away. There is no traffic noise nor hustle and bustle here. Come relax in a cozy farmhouse with the ability to explore and enjoy 70 unrestricted acres. Feel free and walk out in the morning and gather fresh eggs for breakfast or fresh vegetables from the garden. High speed WiFi makes this space a great place to work remotely from for the day or week.
The space
Our farm has been in our family for over 100 years. We have 70 unrestricted acres that you can explore and enjoy. If you live in the city and just want to get away or you are passing through from outside the area this farm offers you the ability to get outside and live without having to sacrifice the modern conveniences of our daily lives. Feel free to collect fresh eggs for breakfast or fresh vegetables as a snack or dinner. Cook outside next to a campfire or just enjoy the stream, fields, animals, scenery and quiet life. If you must work make this farm your most favorite work area with beautiful views and high speed WiFi. We are about 2 miles from town with grocery stores, drug stores and many restaurants.

Only space for four to sleep
The listing says the home accommodates six guests with three queen beds. There are only two queen beds. We made a reservation for six guests, and the property owner pointed out a twin air mattress in a closet upon our arrival, and our sixth family member had to sleep on the couch, which had two broken supports in the middle and dipped terribly in the center. The kitchen does not have much for cooking. One very worn skillet and two very small pots, not enough for us to cook for our family of six. The house overall was worn and not super clean, and the property is full of abandoned farm equipment and junk. The owners were kind, but we were quite disappointed for the money spent. We wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The host was very kind, but the bathroom smelled of urine and the floors throughout the house were very grimy. We ended up leaving a day early to go to another hotel.

My wife and I stayed in this little farmhouse for the past couple of months and what an amazing property with outstanding hosts! From the quiet nights under the stars to the long walks through trees, grassland and small creeks we loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be back!

Fantastic Getaway!
My family stayed at this property for our spring break. It was exactly what we needed. Peaceful and quiet - plenty of space for us to relax - tons of outdoor space to walk around and explore with our dog - and centrally located to a ton of family friendly activities. The house has everything that we needed and the host, Jason, was incredibly responsive, ensuring that our stay went smoothly. We plan to return for another stay in the future!

Great property in a wonderful setting. This property sits back a dirt road in the middle of a 70 acre property. There were farm fresh eggs waiting for us at check in which were delicious. Jason worked with our crazy schedule for checking in and out which was more than appreciated.

Privacy, quiet, space, and excellent internet access!
A rural location and internets was the appeal for us and this place did not disappoint. It is super quiet and feels very out of town, yet town was just a skip down the road. It was spacious enough to work and live with a couple of family who came by. I would have loved another table setup for an office, but I made due in the bedroom while my husband worked in the kitchen. Again...internet access was excellent! We lost power to the stove once and the owner (who lives down the road) was there in minutes to reset the breaker downstairs and fix the problem. They were super nice and chill and we enjoyed visiting with them. And I loved walking the fields for stray corn cobs to feed to the chickens every day! I'm sure we will be back!
