The Riverhouse was an absolute treasure. My son found this location to celebrate his 16th birthday fly fishing as a family. From the beginning, Keith prepared us not just for a vacation, but for memory making. He advised us from hiking, where to get grocery, fishing hot spots and seasonal conditions on the Bitterroot. It was like having an extended family member, just as excited as we were. We were thankful he was our host, as it added to our enjoyment of the week. The house itself was charming, clean, spacious and really - you need to go no further than the back porch. It's location on the river was a nonstop calming vibe of bubbling water and wildlife gazing. The location was far away from the hustle and bustle, and the simplicity of the local environment was our favorite part. We will definitely be returning.

The home had everything we needed. The pictures on the VRBO site don't do it justice. It is beautiful inside & out, surrounded by mountains and the river off the deck. A rare find. Fishing was really fun. The small towns near were great. We appreciated they weren't super touristy and were quaint, friendly, and many places available for tasty food. We loved the history of the area too!

Skiing Lost Trail
Our group spent Presidents Day weekend skiing at Lost Trail. We chose the Riverhouse due to its great location to Lost Trail and the ratings it has received. Both items fit as advertised. The house was clean and a great accommodation for our small group. The convenience to Lost Trail was as good as it gets. Watching elk each day from the living room window is a definite bonus. This will be our first choice for our next trip to Lost Trail.

A must stay!!!
This cabin is everything and more! The breathtaking views of mountains and river are stunning. The only thing that would have made it better is reserving fishing gear ahead of time. We got lost in the beauty of the property and land that we forgot!! This is a must stay!

Have stayed at the Riverhouse numerous times and it gets better everytime. If you are looking for a great place that’s clean, comfortable, quiet and on the river you can’t do better than the Riverhouse. Whatever your pleasure: read a book, fish, shop in a small town there is something for everyone. We had a great time doing all three.

Great location
My wife and I stayed at the riverhouse in late August and my daughter and grandson visited with us for 5 days of our 2 week stay.
The pictures tell it all. Beautiful location, great fishing and lots to do in the area. The home is very functional and the kitchen is well equiped for cooking and dining.
Working with the owner was easy and the few minor issues we had were resolved easily.
We hope to return and stay again

Peaceful retreat
Absolutely amazing quiet vacation we needed. From Montana but did a staycation this year for our family summer vacation and will definitely book again. Went on the senic drive suggested by owner and seen the big horn sheep about 10miles up. Great communication with owner. It was nice our 14yr old could fish right in front of the deck while I sat and read my book.
