AK Corral is a good property

We enjoyed our time at AK Corral! We stayed with friends and family and enjoyed our time. The A/C works a little slow and it was very warm when we checked in but cooled off eventually. Some of the toilets flush slowly but work and one of the coffee makers did not work. Overall, we enjoyed our time!

Enjoyed the property. We’ve always gotten a house with a pool the times we’ve stayed since there hasn’t been much water in Frio. Already talking about next year. Maybe same property but also thinking about trying a different property also

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family has the best time! This was my first time renting/reserving a house on my own and the management made it so easy for me. They were so easy to talk to and communicate with. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. This isn’t my family’s first rodeo when it comes to visiting the Frio, so we were aware of all the extra things we would need. The pool was perfect. The AC was cold and worked like a gem! The rooms had plenty of room for everyone! We will definitely be returning next summer and plan on renting the same house!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location of the AK Corral. The back porch was an amazing experience with all the deer that visited daily. The front was full of fun in the pool and the outdoor pavilion where we gathered for meals and played washers and cornhole. Plenty of space and beds for your large group. There was plenty of table space for us to sit and enjoy dinners/breakfast at the same time. The only improvement I would suggest is a pantry for the kitchen. When you can sleep 20 people, it would be nice to have places to put food away that many people. It would not deter me from staying here again though. I was very happy with our stay and this neighborhood is my favorite in Concan! You cannot see the houses next to you so it provides a lot of privacy. With water levels low, the pool provided a nice break from the heat.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The area was nice and we would have been happy with the house but some things were not to our liking. The couches were horrible. Rips and tears in the cushions. They need to be replaced and they aren't something you want to sit on. The dishes were not washed. The coffee cups were gross and had a layer of something on them. We are required to wash our dishes but house keeping should check to make sure things are cleaned properly for the next renters. The floors didn't look clean. Also there are stones around the pool that are loose and should be fixed. For these reasons I would not rent again.The check in process was easy and the ladies were very nice.

Only issues were- two dangerously loose/wobbly dining table chairs- one loose wobbly recliner back- McKinley toilet float/shutoff gets stuck and water does not shutoff without removing the lid to lift it manually

When we got there the crock pot was missing the pot (noted by a previous renter on the form they left). The "non-stick" pans have lost their non stick character and were difficult to use and clean. No hot pads, only enough silverware for one meal, etc. It was the end of the season but these are basics we expect.

Another Great Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love AK Corral and will definitely stay here again but were still dissatisfied with a few items. The stove was still broken as it was last year (one eye not working) and the pool and grounds had not been properly picked up after the last guests had left many items strewn about. Other than that, it's an amazing house and location and the management is very helpful and interested in knowing how to make things better. Look forward to our next trip to the AKC!!!

Only thing that bothered me was the 2 bedroom room didn't have a closet or dresser, also we where expecting a pull out couch and there was only 2 recliners that was a bummer for the person who was expecting a pull out bed. Other then that I would most definitely stay here again.
