House could us le a deep clean. Host seems to be using an AI monitor for guest communications, which works, but check in information wasn't given in advance. The number listed on the VRBO app is not the property manager. Great location, and perfect place for us to stay for a few nights.

Rooms were not cleaned—dirty floors and surfaces. Dirty towels from previous tenant were throw about the property. Upstairs toilet does not flush or work. Water pressure is non existent on this property which is probably a larger plumbing issue. No toilet flushing, no sink water pressure and no shower water pressure. Shower was one stream of water with no water pressure…literally a prison shower. Notified host about the toilet issue and they were responsive, however, they said the notified maintenance and no one ever arrived to remedy the issue for the three days we were there (issue began on night one). Not an idea situation with six people and one working toilet while the other sat with sewage. They only offered a 50 refund after the stay when confronted. Would not reccomend this stay.

Merion Village House in Columbus OH

The code I was provided to enter the home did not work. I had to make a phone call to the host to get another number. This place needs a refresh. The pictures on VRBO look great but the reality is diffferent. There are no spoons in the kitchen. The downstairs bathroom door won't stay closed unless a rug is stuck under the door. The downstairs bathroom sink does not drain well. There was an open box cutter laying in the yard that we almost stepped on. The upstairs bathtub is very slippery so a rubber mat or permanent strips would prevent falls. There needs to be better lighting in the living room. The yeard is a mess. The cushions on one of the chairs has mold and plants are growing between slats of the chairs. One chair is rickety and terribly worn. There is dirty fabric of some sort laying in the garden beds.

Charming 3 bedroom house, could use a few updates

Overall, this home served us well. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, coffee, and clean linens. The house is older and charming, but could really use some pretty simple updates to make the stay more comfortable (loose handrail, missing curtain rod, missing hand soap, exposed conduit, broken bathroom fan).
