This review is partly on Travelocity. Travelocity posted a room we reserved that allegedly from the hotel never existed. 1 room suite queen but it’s only a king 1 room suite. So Staybridge decided internally, and this was admitted to me, that they decided to simply downgrade me to a studio. No price adjustment or anything. Just here’s your keys. We went to the room and I immediately went up front for the explanation. I was floored that the hotel management simply decided instead of calling me, to just downgrade me. When I asked, well isn’t their a price difference they modified the price. I had to ask. I should have been offered a free stay. Needless to say very disappointed. The manager on duty was nice and adjusted the price but what a ridiculous policy and to expect me to not say anything is intentionally attempting to steal from us. The property was run down. Chipped up broken concrete that’s was unsafe to pass over and just dirty. I reported the same Chicklet piece of gum on the ground from Friday to Monday without being picked up or vacuumed. How can house keeping not vacuum the hallways? Oh and our first day, the maids slapped a do not make up the room sticker on our door instead of making it. We arrived back at 9pm to a dirty room, dirty towels and no toilet paper. We were there for parents weekend, our first one and this was extremely disappointing. I can only imagine how much money USAFA brings in to them to allow this to happen. Very very disappointed.

The on call manager was very rude. The hotel clerk and staff were pleasant.

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Good service by the hotel staff. The on call manager was rude, abrupt and much to arrogant to hold his title. He was the worst part of a seven day stay in Colorado. He should be demoted and the owner should make him try to find food after a long day of traveling to an unfamiliar state.

Comfortable and Convenient

I had a studio suite which is basically one large room with a couch, desk, and kitchenette (fridge; pots, pans, and dishes; microwave; dishwasher; sink) in addition to the bed and bathroom. It was comfortable. I had a meeting on Friday and another on Monday, so I stayed the weekend. King Supers was just down the road, so I was able to get microwave meals and drinks. There's also a TGI Fridays, Outback steakhouse, and Hooters right across the street--walking distance. This place is exactly what I look for in a hotel when I'm traveling. It's clean, it's safe, and it's convenient to things (restaurants, groceries, and the main highway, I-25). They have free breakfast in the morning, and the coffee in the lobby is decent (which is vital). The people who worked there were all really nice, and more than willing to help out when I needed something. I read some of the comments on this page that were negative, and they confused me. Was everything about my stay perfect? Of course not. But then again, nothing in life is perfect. For example, my wireless card tanked so I couldn't access the Internet. I went down to the front desk to ask for a patch cord so I could access the net through a hardwired connection, but the guy working there had no idea what I was talking about. I went back later and asked another lady for a patch cord and she provided one right away. So, was everything perfect? No. But like I said above, it was clean, safe, comfortable, and convenient. I recommended the hotel to a co-worker. she liked it as well. I'd recommend it again.

Great Place to Stay

Our family stayed here after searching the web for a place that would easily accomodate a family of five adults. It was tough to find an affordable hotel that didn't require us to book two rooms. This was better than we expected. There were two bedrooms and a total of three beds. Also, the sofa converts to a bed if needed. A central living area with full kitchen were an added bonus. The best surprise was the great continental breakfast buffet. Everything you could imagine! The staff was always busy keeing everything in full supply and everything tasted great. Have breakfast on the open balcony and you'll have a great view of Pikes Peak! What a great way to start your morning! Easy access to I-25 makes it easy to get to Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, etc. If staying in the middle of the week, you can enjoy delicious complimentaty evening meals which is great for a family on a budget.

Great View and Yummy Breakfast; poor house keeping.

The view from the patio was spectacular and felt like a resort. The front desk staff were terrific and very helpful, going out of their way to assist us in any way they could. The house keeping was a problem, they don't plan to come on the weekend and then didn't show up on Monday even when specifically requested to do so. The evening staff at the desk was very responsive and helpful, making sure we had what we needed, bringing linen, soap, and emptying trash (yes, no trash collection for 3 nights with 4 people in the room!), etc. The next morning I spoke to the manager about it and she was not at all helpful or concerned, in fact she was a little defensive and did not offer me any compensation or apology for the inconvenience. If she had been my help the night before or my only contact with the hotel I would not go back again. Fortunately that was not the case. The ladies who served the breakfast were super and the food was good. It was quite wonderful to have breakfast on the patio with the gorgeous mountains in view.

Looks Great on the Outside

Was disappointed with the interior of the hotel and the rooms. Had a musty smell and carpets looked worn. Rooms were very small and not very nice. Mattress was very hard. Bathroom not very nice. Not enough towels stacked in bathroom and only a half roll of toilet paper. Called the front desk, but no one brought more towels and TP. Had to go to the front desk myself.

From the minute I walked in the door and was greeted. The suites are large and very comfortable. Great Breakfast and the view off the patio of the mountains was the best.
