  • Taipei (TPE-Taoyuan Intl.) to Bangkok (BKK-Suvarnabhumi Intl.) with 111 flights every month
What airline is CI?

CI is the IATA code for China Airlines. All airlines are designated an IATA code by the International Air Transport Association. It's used for a variety of purposes, including tickets, tariffs, communications and timetables.

How do I find my flight number?
  • You will receive an itinerary when you finalize your booking. In this document you'll come across your flight number. The first one to two letters and single figure identify the airline (these are called IATA airline codes). This is followed by one, two, three or four digits — the flight number.
How early can you check bags for a flight?
  • This depends on where you're headed. It's usually three hours for international flights and two hours for domestic services. This can change between airports and carriers, so it's a good idea to check before you go.
If I am not able to travel due to COVID-19, can I change my flight to a later date?

There is this bitchy lady ground crew during check in from ONT to Manila on dec 14 flight giving us hard time checking in, we re arranged our checked in baggages to comply with weight requirements for all checked ins , plus carry on and back packs, we did it 3x, in the end she said about weighing in the back packs( jansport) as required , did not let us checked in due to back pack weights but when on the 4th try we went to another crew member , the back packs were not required to be weighed. And on boarding, she was the same person unfortunately and ragging us ( 4 passengers) about handing the passports/boarding ticket one by one in correct order.Scolding us saying " do you understand" I answered back that I have travelled more than enough to know about boarding. I did not get her name but she is tall skinny , I can identify her face.

Good economy flight. No surprise charges, thank you.

Virgin Australia sent me an email notification that a visa was required to travel to New Zealand. I didn’t know the same was true of Australia so I found out at check in. This required me to purchase my visa on an unsecured network as I had no other option if I wanted to make the flight. I should have looked it up, but an email would have saved me some stress.

Glad premium seats were offered or I wouldn't have gone.

The aircraft was very old, seats were too close together with no leg room even for average passengers. The seats were worn, not functional, no charging for USB devices. The aircraft was a 747-400, great aircraft. I would hope that China Airlines updates the aircraft and keeps it in service for many year to come.
