The accommodation was fine IF you could get in! The entry system from the street was broken when I arrived at 7:30pm and was still so when I left at 10:45 the following morning. At one stage I was one of approx 15 people waiting outside on the sidewalk for another guest to leave before we could get in. There was NO meaningful support. Phone calls to resulted in vague promises of "security" being on the way. The chat (a bot presumably) was worse than useless. Avoid unless you're comfortable with the possibility of being left on the street.

It was very conveniently located near the Chicago Arts Institute and mass transit options within the Loop. Still, some of the fixtures such as shelving) were of low quality materials (particle board). (I had a similar experience with a Sonder property in New Orleans.) I think one of the shelves above the sink looked like it was loose from its brackets. But this did not deter us from enjoying our stay.

I had a reservation and they send me the access instructions after arriving to the place someone was inside the apartment. I called, text and speak with someone in the property, but I wasn't able to get an explanation of what happend or a relocation to another room or apartment complex (they own several in Chicago). I was traveling with my kid so I had to find a hotel on my own. This was very unprefessional from their side. In addition, building wasn't in good shape and the door show signs of that people have try to break in before.

I will express my frustration and disgust with the condition our place was in upon checking in last week. The place was in a layer of dust, grime, and filth. dishes are dirty with old food crusted to them, greasy film across stove and counters, no privacy in 2 of the bedrooms (that was NOT disclosed) due to half walls and pull shades to block the gap & the doors didn’t securely close, mold in a bathroom where water soaked into the wall, found old food under the couch when it was moved. This was completely unacceptable- I didn’t even want to stay but we couldn’t find other accommodations to fit us all. I should NOT have to clean a place upon my arrival! Especially for the $$. I reached out via chat and was told this would be escalated but I have yet to hear from anyone. The communication is terrible. There was no one at the property so you have to resort to chat through the app or dig for miles to find a phone #. You never get an immediate response through chat- sometimes it took hours. I’ve given them ample opportunities to rectify this and the continue to ignore my complaints.

Close to Grant Park. Nice rooms, with kitchenette. Sonder verification process was hard to use for booking two rooms for my family of 7. Didn’t get authorization code until mere hours before checkin. Even then our unit code didn’t work and we had to call them. Very frustrating in the heat of the moment. Other than that would definitely consider it again!

On our 3rd day the water stopped working around 10 pm and we couldn’t use the toilet nor shower. My stay there gave me a massive outbreak of acne maybe due to water or unclean sheets as there was a smell from the pillow which we couldn’t identify til later. The “24” hour service wasn’t really any help as no one was in the building to really help properly when we water more toilet paper, towels, or laundry detergent. The place had a few already broken parts of the house already before we got there including a glass cup. To add onto the service, when we did call for help they had us on hold for 1 hour waiting for an answer. Overall was a bad experience and stay.
