What stood out for me at Le Meridien was the impressive layout and design of the entire resort; it was very beautiful, more so as its location is by the banks of the Kok River. Lovely gardens with pathways meandering around the hotel complex; great for a leisurely walk! Friendly, helpful staff. Not many restaurants to choose ( within the resort) from but quality of food is superb. Great breakfast.

I stayed for three nights and Le Meridien was an excellent base for exploring Chiang Rai by bike. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean, the grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, and the breakfast buffet was superb. The staff were friendly, attentive, and polite throughout, and early check-in was a real bonus - my room was ready well before the official time. It’s a little outside the centre, but taxis are easy and inexpensive (around 80 THB), and the peaceful setting more than makes up for it. I’d happily stay here again.

Unfortunately this hotel is showing its age and really could do with a major refurbishment. Having said that, the staff are great and the beds are comfortable. We booked a premium room but to be honest it did not feel that premium. For example instant coffee and powered milk is not quite what you would expect. The Italian restaurant was actually quite good, unlike the Thai restaurant which was average at best.

Nice hotel , but some inconveniences. Poor service around pool area and pets allowed that meant we were disturbed by barking dog in adjacent room
