Cons:
The gravel drop-off to the drive way is nothing short of the nightmare everyone has about driving over a cliff, and the phrase “hidden or invisible driveway,” doesn’t even begin to cover it.
I hope you like off-roading, with sharp turns and potholes…
The cabin looks like the pictures when you arrive, no surprises there, but the lack of a dishwasher was a disappointment.
Additionally, it would have been nice to have a consistent set of instructions for operating the hot tub, with one set saying to set it to 80 and the other to 90.
If you sleep with earplugs in you’re fine, but if not the left bedroom window is right next to the hot tub, and the motor noisily cycles all night long to maintain the temperature (no on/off switch visible).
Buy and/or bring essentials, because two small rolls of toilet paper were all that was provided, for two adults staying 5 days/4 nights.
It would have been nice to have a list of what was actually stocked in the cabin, we ended up buying a lot of condiments, spices, etc., because we didn’t know what to expect.
The in-cabin book mentions backpacks provided for hiking, to pack out and carry back trash or food items to prevent littering, but none were available.
Thermostat instructions would have been nice, luckily it was similar to the model I have at home, because there wasn’t anything to refer to.
The TV wouldn’t connect to Netflix, looked like it had been dropped on the left side (warped), and had difficulty maintaining streaming services.
Strip the beds, do a load of laundry (towels), wash the dishes…Their check out procedures left me feeling like I was at home instead of on vacation. What exactly is housekeeping doing, if I’m cleaning up?
Couldn’t read the stove knobs, had to guess which did what, when trying to cook meals. Old stove, not even a manual available online.
Advertised board games on site, we found a box of dominoes, but nothing else.
One spare blanket in a drawer, with only sheets and thin quilts on the beds, left us cold at night.
There was an odd sewage smell outside the cabin, no obvious cause or origin.
Pros:
Beautiful scenery.
Quiet when the hot tub wasn’t cycling.
Good proximity to the Bigfoot Experience, and Ellijay.
Clean.
Quick hot water for showers (didn’t have to wait long for the water to get warm).
Nicely decorated, good use of space.
Beds were comfortable.
Easy to check-in, and access the cabin (number-pad, no keys to pick up or drop off).
