Checked in... went to the rooms they smelled to the point we went back to the desk and requested a refund. person at desk did not refund.. have to contact hotels.com for refund

Absolutely Not.

This property was absolutely filthy, and unsafe. When I walked into the lobby to check in, there was a fight going on between the desk attendant and some man. They continue to fight as I stood there for about 10 minutes, waiting to check in. Based on this, I asked to see the room first. Disgusting. Shady looking people were just hanging out in the parking lot. I never checked in. I immediately left.
