This property is across the street from my son and his family, so its location is its most appealing feature for me. It's reasonably clean and comfortable, and was surprisingly warm and toasty on a cold winter weekend. It's not exceptional (weird floor plan, bed is ultra firm, art is not my style,) but I was overall happy with it until the door keypad locked me out at 6:30 am the morning I was set to check out when I went to the grocery store to pick up eggs for breakfast. Fortunately, I had my car keys and purse and jacket, as the temperature was only 25 degrees and dropping, and my son lives across the street. And fortunately I wasn't in the middle of packing my car to catch a flight when I got locked out, as my luggage was locked inside the property, and it was an hour before I could get ahold of someone and for her to re-set the keypad. (The back-up lock box with a key didn't work either.) It was a holiday, and early morning, and the woman I reached was very nice, but I could see this being a real problem for someone who has to catch a flight, and perhaps has their important stuff (laptop, etc.) locked inside the unit. So, I'm including mention of this so future guests are aware. I have stayed at some really excellent VRBOs over the years, so I hesitate to give this one 5 stars, but then, I may want to stay here again because of its perfect location, and would like to have that option, so I feel like maybe I should. It's very good. Not excellent though...

Great walkable location in Charlotte

Loved the location, so many great restaurants, breweries and coffee close by. Beautiful neighborhood with lots of trees and gardens. The birds and traffic were a bit noisy, but we slept very comfortably. Management was very responsive when we needed something.

Cute historic home for long-term stay

I stayed here for two months and it was the perfect long-term stay. It's a great location (that one day will be on the trolley line if it's ever finished), and in a cute neighborhood that's very walkable with a park at the end of the street. The house is older so there are some quirks (like a separate hot and cold water faucet in the bathroom and the oldest oven you ever did see). While it is on a busy street with some occasional construction, the bedroom is in the back of the house and is very quiet (with blackout curtains). This is a great value, especially for long-term renters as the apartment is very sizable with plenty of room to spread out, work, relax, and sleep. It is the downstairs apartment, so if there's a renter upstairs, you may be able to hear footsteps (or dogs). Overall, I'd definitely return if I ever needed a place to rent again!

Enjoyable, but loud stay...

The property was immaculate upon my arrival. You can tell the owners that great pride is presenting a quality home to their guests. I enjoyed the wine and snacks...and for breakfast they had orange juice and english muffins available. This is a very central location. My only and biggest complaint is there was a construction zone right in front of the unit. The noise was so loud it was shaking the building. I could barely hear myself think and this noise woke me up every morning. Guess I should've done more research before choosing this property. I'd likely stay in one of their properties again, but I would do more research so I don't have the frustration of staying in a construction zone again.

Life savers

The accommodations were terrific. The amenities are all first class. But we will always try to stay with this group again because after babysitting my granddaughter I lost my code to apartment and at 230 in the morning I called and was texted code within minutes. DEFINITELY will be back. Thanks for all.

Great location and good for this time of year and our activities

Nicely furnished one bedroom first floor in old building. The place was clean and had some wine and snacks ready for us (much appreciated) and the owner very responsive. Just for full disclosure; Wood floors throughout so you definitely hear the upstairs neighbor whenever they are home. We did not have any troubles with this as the neighbor is not up late or overly active, but just FYI. Dining room window ac was trifling to cool the space. We mentioned to owner who said they would review topic so would ask about that if weather would be hot. Was ok for us as not hot. Also the kitchen and bath are very dated so should you desire to cook a lot or spend time in bath, most likely not the choice spot. Considering all of the above it is functional and worked well forbus All in was clean and convenient and served our purpose just fine, especially considering price versus downtown hotels.

Amazing Host, Great Location, Cozy Place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Charlotte and would reserve this property again. The hosts made us feel completely welcome with goodies and drinks upon arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked and the place was very clean. We spent a lot of time on the lovely front porch and walked to restaurants nearby. The host was responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend this property.

Nice location.

Tastefully decorated. Owners are super responsive. A broken shower head was replaced immediately. I would recommend staying here. My reason for not giving 5 stars is it needs a more thorough Spring cleaning. Possibly due to construction in the area.

A great space in a great neighborhood

It's spacious, bright and cheery. The decor is quirky but very functional. I spent a month and could happily have stayed much longer. The kitchen was amazingly well equipped for cooking and dining, and the hosts left many starter provisions including the fixings for a spaghetti dinner complete with wine. For sleeping comfort, the bedroom gets 5 stars, but the apartment really doesn't accommodate 4 adults comfortably. The location is outstanding... It's an easy walk to all sorts of good restaurants and stores, and to 3 excellent bakeries (the walk cancels out the calories). It's also just minutes from downtown, museums and other attractions.
