The Folly Barrack House has a spacious king master bedroom with twin size daybed and full private bath and smaller kids room with twin bunk beds. Living room has double sofa sleeper. Galley style kitchen with plenty of cabinets and counter space. Kitchen is fully equipped including extras such as a blender, toaster, and mixer. All rooms have LCD cable T.V. with HBO and Starz in main den/sun room area as well as a Blu-Ray player. Very open floor plan with lots of natural light. Sun room also has a double size sofa sleeper for that extra person that tags along. Beach access just across the street and beach view from the den/sunroom. Second bathroom just off the living room. Split level decks off of the sun room. Large yard with plenty of parking for all. Plenty of room for a boat and the boat landing is just 11 blocks from the house.

The bonus living space or 'Sea Shed' was built under the Folly Barrack House in the 1950's. Brick and block walls were once home to one of Folly's infamous key clubs that entertained many locals and celebrities alike. Today we have transitioned her into a sweet additional living space equipped with a queen bed that is steps away from the beach. The Sea Shed kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a special meal and a quaint bathroom separates the main room from the bedroom. This is included in your rental! The whole house is yours!

Downtown Charleston is a short 25-minute drive away. There you will be immersed in history, fashionable boutiques, souvenir and local markets, world-class restaurants, live entertainment, and carriage, history, harbor, ghost, and food tours. Take a stroll along The Battery, Waterfront Park, and Rainbow Row. Visit the Children's Museum and the South Carolina Aquarium. Float on a ferry to Fort Sumpter where you can spend a whole afternoon.

Large parking area for up to 4 vehicles. Amenities include keyless entry, contactless check-in, TVs, free WIFI and cable, central heat and air, VayK Gear beach gear credit, washer/dryer, modern appliances, and a gas grill.

Home is non-smoking and not pet friendly. Must be 25 years old or older to rent, no exceptions. No events or parties allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home. More rustic than the photos, but convenient to beach and central Folly Beach. Girls weekend trip. Check in code didn't work.. but it was managed remotely. Ice maker very slow but agent provided 3 bags of ice Towels and amenities great for large crowd

Perfect place for family getaway

We had a great time at Barrack House. The space and amenities were just what we wanted. The kids liked the private apartment to hang out in and there was plenty of space to spread out in the main level. The party lights in the middle area were a favorite and the available Slam Ball was a bonus. The proximity to the beach was super convenient. And kicking back with a drink on the deck was always relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay on Folly Beach and the house was okay. It was very different than we have ever rented. The additions to the house was very innovative however, they would be a little more safe if the floors were level. Stepping from the main house down to the front living room was very slippery. Dealing with the spiders in the house, the geckos in the side of the house and a snake outside was a little more than we expected on our family vacation. The location was wonderful just across the street from the beach and the property has a lot of parking area.

Folly Fun & Friends

Property was GREAT! Perfect for our group of 2 Moms & 5 teenage girls for a getaway after a long school year. There was ample & comfortable sleeping and lounging space for the 7 of us. The 2 pull out sofas upstairs were great to have, as well. The downstairs was neat and the girls enjoyed having that as a space of their own to hangout. (The downstairs kitchenette and bathroom worked well for them, too.) Very close to the beach access. We enjoyed using the large table and umbrella on the deck. Loads of beach chairs! TV/Internet was great. Linen/Towel service was great. We would definitely stay there again - It was great! Thank you for sharing your charming property we really enjoyed it!

Our stay here was simply wonderful. Our family has been coming to Folly for 20 years for vacation. By far, the is was cleanest place we have ever stayed! Location was amazing!! And the property managers were quick to respond to the questions I had and were super kind!! Definitely will be back!

Great Stay for a small family

We had our family of four as well as my mother in the Barracks House. We did have to share rooms but were all very comfortable. You can't beat this location. Walk across the street to the beach! And the decks were perfect for grilling and hanging out in the evenings. Kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of towels and the master bathroom was very nice. There are bikes at the house. I missed that in another review and rented some unfortunately. The house also had beach chairs and boogie boards which was a great bonus! We would definitely return to the Barracks House!

2nd Stay at Barracks House

Family loves staying at this beach house. Location has very little traffic and easy access to beach. Plenty of beach space for family to have fun. Easy to walk to downtown and pier. House is perfect for for our 3 young boys. Bikes, beach chairs, outside shower, hose, and new BBQ are all great features.

Great First Beach House Experience

This was our first beach house experience. We were excited to attend our son’s beach wedding on Folly Beach. Folly Barrack House really met our need. The bedding and the towels were abundant and very clean. The outdoor shower came in handy. The owner was a great communicator and responded quickly to all of our questions .
