A Gorgeous Riverfront Renovation Minutes From Downtown Cedar Falls

The Wildflower Riverhouse is a riverfront home nestled in a secluded neighborhood minutes from downtown Cedar Falls.

There’s lots to do at The Riverhouse. Brew some coffee and take in the stunning river views from nearly every room. Roast s’mores by the outdoor fire pit. Throw a fishing line off the dock or take the kayak for a sunset adventure. Relax with a book in the sunroom with panoramic views.

Whatever you decide to do at The Riverhouse, we invite you to find home in the wild.

The Space:
SLEEPING: 2 bedrooms, each with a king size bed, and a loft space with 2 twin beds.

BATHROOMS: 2 full bathrooms. Main level bathroom includes large soaking tub.

MAIN LEVEL: sunroom, living area w/ TV, kitchen, bedroom w/ TV, and bathroom.

LOFT: 2 twin beds and rec area w/ TV.
- The loft is open to the kitchen/front entry area and is not an enclosed room. A retractable baby gate has been installed at the top of the stairs for child safety. The loft is accessible by going up an open riser staircase.

LOWER LEVEL: living area w/ TV, bedroom, bathroom, workspace, exercise area, and laundry room.

ENTERTAINMENT:
- Kayak available for seasonal use and as weather allows
- Outdoor fire pit with firewood
- Puzzles and games for adults and kids alike
- Roku-enabled smart TVs in each bedroom and living areas

HOUSE RULES:
- No smoking
- Quiet hours 10pm - 7am
- No party-like behavior, unregistered guests or gatherings without approval from hosts

GUEST ACCESS
Guests will be able to access the entire home except for a small storage closet in the basement attached to the laundry room and basement bedroom.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
As parents ourselves, child safety is incredibly important to us. The Riverhouse includes the following features for child safety:
- A retractable baby gate at the top of the stairs in the loft area.
- Child safety locks on both the main entrance and sliding glass door leading to the sunroom.
- You will notice an additional entrance to the lower level of the home, but we have restricted access to that entrance via locked doors inside the home.
- Life vests hanging in the lower level laundry/storage room.
- Baby gate available in the lower level hall closet to use as needed.
- An exterior camera is mounted on the back deck. It is used to monitor the water level on the river for safety.

Diamond on the river

This is a fantastic place for a family getaway! The house is great, well appointed, and very well kept. The view overlooking the Cedar River is mesmerizing with lots of wildlife and gorgeous sunsets. Cedar Falls is about five minutes away with lots of great shops and a variety of places to eat.

Great family weekend!

We needed a weekend getaway close to UNI to gather Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa families. It was a beautiful home full of everything we needed, including garage access for our car which came in handy during a storm.

Everything surpassed my expectations. The rooms are nice and clean. The kitchen had everything we wanted and more. The sun room overlooking the river was warm and beautiful and so relaxing to hang out in on some very cold days in late November. The host is ver responsive and pleasant to interact with.

Replenishing River Retreat 🌊🌳

Staying in this lovely space overlooking the Cedar River was one of the best VRBO experiences we have had. Meals on the deck with a gentle breeze, walks in the woods -- nature immersion with the fun of town just a step away. Such a pretty spot on a beautiful river. Enjoyed the house too. Really nice place to enjoy with friends with a beautiful porch that overlooks the river, nice kitchen, comfortable beds. Hope to go back someday!

Gift Stay

Gave this stay to my parents as a gift. They said they loved sitting in the sunroom watching the river, and the layout of the house was unique and interesting. Hosts were very communicative. Only downside was how expensive it was. Unfortunately I didn't realize the fees were not all showing at first, but I think that may have been my fault. So glad a riverside spot was available, my dad loves rivers and they met in Cedar Falls, so it worked out nicely.

Great Memory Maker

This home pretty much met all of our needs and was stocked with great supplies. Very spacious and incredible view of the Cedar River, which was serene and enchanting. It was nice to know the owners were nearby and very responsive. We will be frequent returnees as we have family there locally. We were very pleased overall with our stay and the lovelh accomodations.

Quick Tournament Trip

My daughter got married this weekend in Waverly at The Hidden Acre. We live 2 hours away and didn’t want to stay in a hotel, so found this gem of a place instead. It was perfect! My husband and I and our 3 other kids, plus my best friend from out of town all were very comfortable in this house. The view was beautiful in the mornings and we loved the quiet in the nights. The host was so easy to communicate with. We felt very welcome! We hope to be able to return during a time when we don’t have so much planned so we can enjoy the house more!

We rented the hone to celebrate a family members 60th birthday. It was perfect Clean Organized Had everything we needed The view of the Cedar River for gorgeous even if it was to low to fish The screened in porch/balcony was our favorite area We saw eagles, deer and crane while enjoying our meals and coffee Beds were comfortable Neighborhood seemed very safe, quiet and semi private We didn’t have time to use the nice bike/walking path not far from the home but that is a perk Tony was more than accommodating!!! We will recommend this home to all of our friends needing an area in Cedar Falls

Perfect getaway

We wanted one last little getaway before school started up again. This home and property was perfect for our family. Everything from the cozy loft to the Roku TV’s in each room and the beautiful view of the Cedar River was just what we as a family needed to regroup and spend some quality time together. This house is amazing! It was unbelievably clean and everything felt new. The owners thought of so many little things to make our stay comfortable (space heaters, extra blankets, lots of kitchen appliances and tools, and even games/toys for the kids). The views of the river were wonderful. We had a long and busy weekend of sports in Cesar Falls for our kids, and it was so nice to come back to a comfortable home each evening. We would definitely stay here again!
