They were doing some major construction at the hotel. I couldn’t open the windows to get fresh air and when I cranked on the AC there was construction dust coming in through the vent. It was a horrible stay and did not resemble the reviews on hotels.com

The staff bent over backwards to accommodate my mistakes in booking the wrong date, not once, but twice. All done with a smile and a friendly manner. The hotel was undergoing some renovations so there was some construction inconvenience (the pool wasn't open and there was a faint smell of paint). However, the room was clean and comfortable. Overall, a positive experience.

This is our 'go to' when visiting Dubuque- which we do often. SUPER excited with the renovations being done. LOVE the carpetless flooring. Would appreciate a few more pillows on the bed. Breakfast was great- stocked and cleaned often. Thanks for the great stay! We will be back!

Unfortunately when we arrived the hotel was not as pictured. They were in the process of remodeling. The manager was very nice and helpful though.

While the rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly, they were under some massive renovations with wet paint and much of the hallway is masked off. Additionally, the pool was closed. The lobby however, seemed in good order and they did a nice job with breakfast.

They seemed to be in the process of trying to update the property so I am not sure if the unit we had was completed yet or not. I will start with the positives. The bed was comfortable, the hot water and the water pressure was good. The air-conditioning worked well and the room seemed clean. I liked that they did have a full length mirror. It was odd because there was NO closet area and no hooks to hang clothes or coats. There was no overhead light and only two lamps, one on each nightstand, so the room was dark. The television made us laugh because it was so small you could barely see the picture. Televisions are not expensive nowadays. Wouldn't you put, at minimum, a 48 inch in the room? The room was very sparse but if you just need a place to sleep, it works

The hotel was under renovation so some disruption was expected. However, the in room refrigerator didn't work so our take home from our first night of dining spoiled. Also, there was no closet or dresser so we lived out of suitcase on the couch. Overall, it was not a terribly unpleasant stay but definitely not worth the price we paid. As a final note, the banner outside read, "Dubque Inn & Suites."
