Kona recalls the Beach Boys playing their pop hits by the pool. The band left but the good vibrations linger. Situated on 9.5 gated acres, gated for with an amazing Hawaiian plantation-style home with separate sleeping quarters and a guest house. Pool hot tub, gas outdoor fire pit and tennis court make it feel like a mini-resort. Mature tropical fruit trees shelter exotic floral gardens.

From the ages of 16 to 60 Baby Boomers embraced the dream of an endless summer evoked by The Beach Boys’ music. Whether you are attracted to the park-like landscape, secluded island get-away, breathtaking ocean views, or the idea of living with Rock & Roll history; this unique property will fire your imagination.

At the center of the multi-structure compound, a big plantation-style home is a credit to a California architect who made the extra effort and captured the essence of a Hawaiian exotic retreat. Existing floor plans testify the main house and guest house were designed for Steven and Mike Love in 1972. From its cool, comfortable 1300 ft elevation the largest residence commands Kona coastline views that extend to include Kealakekua Bay and Kona. On Wednesdays you can see the cruise ship in he harbor.

Beyond the gated entrance a concrete drive ascends to a regulation sized tennis court. where the band often played for parties. A screened room beside the court is used as the current owner’s gym.

The beautifully remodeled kitchen and three of the four and a half baths retain tile custom made for the famous original owners. The main house offers three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. Guests also have full use of the 2 bedroom Ohana (guest house) consisting of 1 queen bedroom , 1 bedroom with double bunk beds, 1 bathroom, full kitchen and living room.

Mature mango, coffee, avocado, lime, orange, banana, papaya, passion fruit and an assortment of other tropical fruit trees are the foundation plantings for multiple shade gardens filled with exotic flowers. If you are looking for a peaceful country hide-away, you must see the Beach Boys' Estate. You may hear the music, feel the good vibrations and never want to leave the warmth of the Kona sun.

Perfect Family Getaway on the Kona Coast

We stayed on the Kona Coast from July 12–19 with a group of five adults, one teenager, and three children, and this home was absolutely perfect for our multi-family getaway. The layout—with separate houses—gave each family their own space while still letting us all be together.Guy, the host, was fantastic. He met us at the property, gave us a tour, and made sure we felt right at home. The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the beach chairs, pool toys, and other extras that made traveling with kids so easy.The private pool and tennis court were a highlight for both the adults and kids—we spent hours outside enjoying the space. This was a truly memorable trip, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Vintage Charm & Ocean Views on The Beach Boys’ Estate

Absolutely unforgettable stay!We brought our whole extended family — my family of five, my brother’s family of five, and our parents — and this estate was beyond anything we hoped for. Set on 9.5 lush acres with sweeping ocean views, the property is full of rich history and character (built in 1972 by The Beach Boys, which we thought was the coolest detail).There are multiple homes on the property, so everyone had their own space, but we could still come together easily to enjoy meals, games, and relaxing by the pool and hot tub. Everything is immaculately maintained in its original condition — it’s like stepping into a timeless Hawaiian retreat.Our kids loved exploring the grounds, picking fresh bananas, limes, mangos, and more. The adults loved the peacefulness, the views, and just how special the whole place felt. It’s rare to find something this unique and serene — truly perfect for a multi-generational family gathering.We made lifelong memories here and can’t recommend it enough. If you’re considering it, just book it. You won’t regret it!

Above It All, Island Peace

We had an incredible stay at the Beach Boys mansion. The endless ocean views and sense of peace made for an unforgettable experience. The home is beautifully maintained with thoughtfully chosen, island-inspired furnishings, a perfect layout, and plenty of supplies — from seating and lighting to a well-stocked kitchen. The pool area was a favorite, and every guest raved about the views and the super comfortable beds. The house is thoughtfully divided into separate residential areas, giving everyone a sense of privacy when needed.Communication with the hosts was exceptional — fast, clear, and super helpful from start to finish.Do note: sound carries more than you might expect in this quiet, secluded location. While we did our best to keep things low-key, the size of our group alone made it challenging at times. Guests should be very mindful of noise levels, even during normal conversations. To support future visitors, it might be helpful for the owners to consider installing a decibel monitor. We deeply appreciated the peaceful setting and wanted to do our part to preserve it.Although it’s a bit of a drive to town, that distance adds to the magic. It truly felt like we were alone on top of the world.Thank you for sharing such a special property with us!

Family fun!

The property is beautiful everything is so amazing. The home is furnished with unusual furnishings that fits the home perfectly. The kitchen has everything you need. Cooking was easy. We had multiple family members from 2yrs to 70, 11 of us all together. The beds are comfortable and cozy. The swimming pool has floaters and toys. The pool is deep and fun for swimming. Plenty of items for the beaches from ice chest to umbrellas and kids sand toys!Owner of the property went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything needed for a wonderful stay. He met us and went over everything with us from lights to what amazing fruits growing on the property. He also came back and picked oranges for us to make fresh juice. Our stay was everything and more than we anticipated!! Thank You Guy for letting us stay in your beautiful home!!

Family Fun getaway

My family stayed there for my 50th birthday and the house exceeded all of our expectations. We had a fantastic time, sitting by the pool, eating all the fresh fruit and avocados from the yard and enjoying fun evenings on the patio. Guy was a great host and communicated with me throughout the week.. The view was amazing, but it did take us about an hour to get anywhere we wanted to go.

Fabulous location for a family getaway

The property is wonderful, unique, perfect for a family gathering like we had. We had my wife and I, our three children and three spouses, and four grandchildren from ages 1 to 13. Lots of bedrooms meant people had some private space. Large kitchen and dining areas allowed us to all eat breakfasts and most dinners together (most lunches we ate out). Close to lots of snorkeling beaches. Convenient to visit Volcano. The pool isn’t big, but it is deep (8 feet), meaning the children (esp. the 5 year old) could jump in over and over, meaning they slept well. The orange trees gave us fresh squeezed juice every morning. The laundry machines allowed us to clean up. Hint: Don’t bring more than 3 or 4 days of clothing. Save the baggage space and do laundry half way through the week. We had a blast here, using the property as a base to explore the island, and to enjoy the family time together. Hard to say enough good about it.

Beach Boys Retreat

The views were amazing! We loved all the fruit trees and the macadamia nuts and avacados. The swimming pool area was perfect and we enjoyed sitting on the decks every night.We had a wonderful time and if we ever get back we would definitely consider renting it again.

A wonderful Christmas in Hawaii.

This property is amazing. Our 3 families stayed at The Beach Boys Estate over Christmas and into the new years. Everything was well taken care of and the beds were comfy. The kids loved the 9 aches to run and play, while the adults loved the tennis courts. Everyone loved the pool and hot tub which were used everyday during our stay. Everyone enjoyed picking the fresh fruit that we used for fresh orange juice, Limeade and guacamole. Justin was so helpful and brought us fresh coconuts from the estate. Which was a wonderful treat for the kids! Justin also had a beautiful welcome gift of chacuterie items for our crew when we arrived. We all enjoys the items during our 2 week stay. The layout of the home provided private areas for all 3 families to have some space and wonderful gathering areas for meals and hanging out. I highly recommend this home if you are visiting the Big Island.

Amazing one of a kind property

Our extended family of 11 stayed at this property for a week. Our group included ages 3-82. The property is laid out such that everyone had their own space, with plenty of large shared spaces for us to all be together. The pool is amazing. The tennis court/basketball were a huge hit with young people. The house is stocked with all the basics you wonder about (basic spices, zip lock bags, foil, TP/paper towels). The host Guy was amazing, replied to every question almost instantly and even provided us with tips on a local bakery. If you want to experience a different side of Hawaii (the authentic one). This is the place for you - it is a luxury surrounded by the beauty and peace of rural Hawaii.

Fantastic property with plenty of rooms for 10 adults for an 8 day trip from Ohio. We were very impressed with the 2 houses in great condition and the landscape, pool, spa, tennis/pickleball court, and only a short 3 min. drive to the ocean. Family Vacation!

The property is beautiful. There was enough space and cozy nooks for us to be alone when wanted. But, places for us all to be together. There were 12 family members for 10 days, it was great. The kitchen had every gadget, it was clean The beds were comfortable. Everything was provided. Our hosts were available to us if needed. AND our Hosts, Guy and Justin were available if we needed them. It was like being home. This was such a wonderful experience for my whole family! The best vacation ever! This home is perfect!
