Excellent instructions (super easy door access) and very clean. This is right on the water; so as always, children cannot be left unattended. For whatever reason, cellular access can be spotty; so I'd advise downloading your map & directions, especially if ypu'll be arriving at night.

We had a great time.Beds were so comfortable. It was clean. Our teens were very entertained with all the outdoor fun stuff like corn hole, hot tub, a fire pit, canoe, ... The kids shot cans with bb guns til the morning hours. We had a blast. We were close to the State park so we went on hikes and saw bald eagles! Great trip.

Perfect for our family

amazing vibes the whole time

the place was so clean, tons of different areas to hangout with the friend group. A lot of complimentary things to make the stay more enjoyable, like hot cocoa, coffee, the canoe by the lake and the pancake mix in the fridge!! What an amazing spot! So quiet, beautiful and peaceful, which is what we were looking for. The Hosts were very responsive and helpful. The Fairmount General store in Hemphill had everything we (forgot to bring) needed and the people are SO friendly. We'd come back and stay here for sure!

Overall nice place - A couple issues

Generally enjoyed our 3 night stay. Property was clean and well stocked. Description of 2 bathrooms is a little of a stretch as one of the showers is 2ft x 2ft and located in the watercloset. It was too small to even consider using and the sink for that bathroom was actually in the bedroom. Largest issue was the strong methane gas smell inside and outside. Host replied quickly to my message and had a neighbor (who was lovely) come by with deoderizers. It helped but only slightly. The smell may keep us away from booking again although I do acknowledge that the issue is probably not an easy fix for the host.

NEEDING A GETAWAY FROM CITY LIFE, WELL THIS IS IT!! AS SOON AS YOU OPEN THE DOOR THERES AN INSTANT SENSE OF CALM THAT RUSHES OVER YOU! ITS WARM, COZY AND THE VIEW IS AMAZING!! HOT TUB I LIVED IN THE ENTIRE WEEKEND, SITTING ON THE DOCKS AND WATCHING OUR KIDS. HUSBAND IN THE CANOE AND GRILLING IT UP ON THE OUTSIDE PATIO WITCH WAS SO ENTERTAINING WITH THE LUGHTS ALL ATOUND. NOT TO MENTION THE HOSTD HAVE THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING WITH APPLIANCES, COOKWARE AND SILVERWARE, A HOME AWAY FROM HOME. WHENEVER I HAD QUESTIONS THEY RESPONDED RIGHT BACK, SO LOVE THEM!! I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO TAKE YOU AND YOURS AND HEAD ON DOWN TO BURKEVILLE, NO REGRETS, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS!!
