Perfect Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year with our family. Cabin was in a perfect location for Monarch Ski Resort, in addition a quick trip into Salida if we needed something. Home was clean, spacious, and over all was wonderful. Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful home in Salida!

We had an incredible stay in Salida here in this beautiful log home. Spacious, clean, and fully stocked with almost everything you need! Lori is an amazing host. Take her advice on where to go and what to do! You won't be disappointed. If you are going rafting, we highly recommend Independent Whitewater (just down the road) if you want highly skilled as well as funny and kind guides. Thanks for that rec Lori! We loved relaxing on the deck/ hot tub after our daily adventures. Only bad thing was not getting to stay longer. Highly recommend!

Perfection

Beautiful home in the perfect spot. It exceeded all of our expectations. The home was spotless and had everything we needed. Plenty of room for two adults and two teens to spread out. The spa and sauna were much appreciated after rafting and hiking! The location was close to town and our outdoor activities but no neighbors on top of you so it was quiet and the views...priceless! We would definitely book again. Thank you for hosting us.

Secluded log cabin close to town

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. A short drive from many great hikes and super convenient to downtown. The house had everything we needed and more. Check-in and out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again!

Just wish we could have stayed longer!

Our family of four loved this log home and Salida. Lori was wonderful to work with before and during our trip and provided a very helpful manual and list of things to do. The house is lovely - comfortable, we’ll equipped - with beautiful views all around. We appreciated being able to use the two sand-boards for our trip to the Great Sand Dunes, an easy day trip from Salida. We enjoyed the hot tub every evening after our adventures. The downtown is a short drive and a really fun family spot. The kids floated the river and we loved the shops and restaurants that we visited. My husband biked the Monarch Trail and was able to rent and shuttle with a local shop. We spent time in Breckenridge before coming to Salida, and although Breckenridge is also lovely, Salida was much more our pace and style! Highly recommend this property and area of Colorado. Great Place

Property was awesome. So much space and fun to unwind after a long day out exploring. Sitting out back and watching the stars come out was great. Only issue was that the house hold heat really good so at night it stayed warm even after the windows were opened. Upstars got a little hot but not unbearable. Lori was great to deal with the place has it all. My wife enjoyed the sauna after morning yoga on the front deck as the sun came up. Would definately stay there again.

Fantastic stay!

What a lovely weekend in Salida! The house was so comfortable and clean with a fantastic kitchen and hot tub. We loved making fires and looking at the mountains! The owners were also so kind, responsive, and clear with how to get around the house. We can’t wait to come back!

Best ski holiday

This home was amazing! I can honestly say the best Vrbo property we’ve stayed in. Exceptional in so many ways starting with communication from owners, cleanliness, well stocked kitchen as well as toiletries for BR, hot tub, sauna, fire pit, fireplace, beautiful views from the property. The extra touches such as diffusers throughout were thoughtful and much appreciated. We had such a great time we didn’t want to leave!

Better than awesome

We loved our stay here so much and definitely plan to book again. The location was perfect for my husband and friends to head up to Monarch for CAT skiing and perfect for us to relax, head to Salida and walk around, and enjoy spectacular sunsets in the hot tub. This was my husband's surprise 40th trip and it couldn't have worked out better for our group of three couples and one baby. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

The house simply put, is amazing. Everything you see in the description and more. The location is in the middle of everywhere, close to Monarch, short scenic drive to Crested Butte. So much fun.

Everything and More

This may well be the best VRBO experience we've ever had, and we've used VRBO for many years. The hosts Lori and Shawn were all over my every question before we arrived and took care of all the details. The home is beautiful, spacious and quiet which is exactly what we wanted. The hot tub is amazing, and the stargazing was really great. It's close enough to Salida (10-12 minutes) but you are really out in the country with just a few neighbors. We didn't hear a peep from anyone the entire time. The spacious kitchen was perfect for our family meals and we had everything we needed to prepare them. Will definitely be back!

Incredible place!

Gorgeous property that delivered everything we wanted and hoped for for our first trip to Colorado. Nestled in a little valley area with mountains on pretty much all sides, it was perfect after two days of driving to get there. Comfortable and clean with everything you'd need for a getaway. Particularly loved the heated floors, porches, fire pit and the hot tub. (My first hot tub I've been in!) Lori was amazing, always kept in touch with us and was responsive if we had any questions or concerns. Shelso provided us with helpful guides about local attractions, food and more. It offered us way more than we could do in the time we had, and her food recommendations were absolutely on point. Would love to come back. Nearby Salida was beautiful and charming, so if we ever make it up that way again, I know where I want to stay. Highly recommend!
