My wife and I absolutely loved this yurt! We intended to spend a few days in the Brevard/Pisgah area and saw this available for a long weekend. It looked nice enough so we booked, and when we arrived it honestly exceeded our expectations. Very cozy, comfortable, clean, and the kitchen/bathroom was very well done. Loved the cedar interior and the deck firepit was great on the colder nights.We would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a cozy stay in the woods, peaceful and serene, but still be just a 10-15 minute drive from restaurants, breweries, community, and Pisgah National Forest. Thanks Kristin and Dana!

Kristine and Dana (and the hands and energy of many unseen faces) have worked hard to guide human existence toward the path of the Great Mystery. The Yurt was a wonderful experience. You walk in, you notice the attention to detail, combining comfort, luxury, and a feeling of nature indoors. It was kept extremely clean. The kitchen was nice with all the amenities. Our stay was in the middle of August during periods of heavy rain, but it never dampened our trip; the rain enhanced moments as the pitter-patter of the rain fell on the canvas roof as we fell asleep. We shared the deck with a screech owl one evening. I feel we were interrupting its early evening hunt, as I am sure it came to watch the ground below the bird feeder. The bed was very comfortable. FYI, if you prefer a lower profile pillow than what is on the bed, there are some thinner ones in the utility area. You'll also find a great selection of reading material and games to enjoy. The mini-split kept the interior cool and pleasant. The white walls and ceiling enhanced the natural light. The driveway is steep and in the description an AWD or 4X4 is recommended, but I have a 2-wheel rear wheel drive car and I had no trouble (YRMV). The Yurt is a great place to unplug and unwind. There is so much to see and explore in the area, and Kristine provided a great list of suggestions. The only disappointments were that it was cloudy or raining every night, and we were not able to see the starry sky, AND we had to leave!

Summer getaway

We loved it! The yurt is awesome! My husband and boys had a great time. Kristin was wonderful. We asked for a tour of the farm and she gladly obliged. She came to show us around after she worked all day and she stayed and talked with us and the boys for quite a while. She is a lovely host and went out of her way to make sure we had a good time. The property is very secluded and quiet which was wonderful!

Healing, quiet, clean, and easy

The stay at the yurt was amazing. The property is in a beautiful forest, enjoy the birds at the feeder, sit by the fire at night while you listen to the crickets, the seating outside is awesome for star gazing and spotting a few shooting stars and watching lightening bugs. The Yurt was so clean and retreat like. The aroma therapy, fresh wild flowers, fresh eggs from their homestead, and little details throughout the space was perfect. The host was an excellent communicator - prompt, responsive, and helpful. My daughter is 12 months and enjoyed seeing the bunnies and a visit from their dog! She loved the birds! I put her playpen in the walk-in closet so she would have a dark place to sleep, it worked perfectly. The bed was so comfy. Def need AWD or 4WD to get up the steep gravel driveway. The drive into Brevard is easy and close (10-15 mins). I can't wait to go back! I don't have a negative thing to say. Thank you so much for welcoming me and my sweet girl to your beautiful place. I am so thankful to have those memories with her.

The hosts were very informative and communicative. When we arrived, they had left farm fresh eggs and fresh cut flowers along with all the info we needed for our stay. The yurt had anything we may have needed, from linens and some games and puzzles to bandages and soap. The property was VERY clean and well stocked. We really enjoyed all of the personal touches throughout the property. Everywhere we looked there was another little surprise! We were able to explore the grounds and garden, the hosts even offered to show us around the farm. Overall, my family gave this stay a 10/10! The driveway is steep. And this is mentioned in the listing several times. Our AWD had no issues at all.
