Camels, Blue Cabin and more! Kaleidoscope Ranch

Kaleidoscope Ranch offers camels, critters, and 4 beautiful cabins located on 60 acres. The property is rolling green hills, pastures and wooded areas. Miniature horses, donkeys and Alpacas wander freely and graze right around the cabins. They love people and are always up for petting and selfies. The cabins are individually themed and totally unique. Each has a large covered porch with seating and spacious views that make you feel like you are in a world of your own. Picnic tables scatter the area if you are ready for a picnic. Fully equipped kitchens with everything you need to cook and dine, or visit restaurants in Gilmer, Hawkins or Big Sandy. Linens and towels provided. The Family room has a TV that is only connected to a DVD player, DVDs, games, and books are provided for your enjoyment. No wifi but you won't miss it, most guests say is was a welcome break from technology. Instead, you can unplug and hike with the wandering donkeys and horses. Brush the camels, Delilah loves it! Cuddle draft horses, alpacas, goats, and the mini pig. Come fish in our small pond, we have bass. This isn't your typical vacation rental house, this is an amazing experience that guests don't soon forget.

Blue Cabin-
This cabin boasts five full-sized beds across two open-style bedrooms, with two beds in one room and three in the other. Downstairs is one full bathroom and located upstairs is a half bath, as well. In addition, there is a giant walk-out balcony with sweeping views of the property!

Guests may access all of the property except the owner’s home, guest home, and pool area.

Other things to note
The property is very hilly so bring comfy old tennis shoes/ boots/ rain boots. It's always a good idea to pack a sweatshirt and light jacket. Extra socks and clothes are always a good plan. Don't bother dressing fancy! Also there is no wifi available. You can truly unplug

Cozy Place!

We were in town for a weekend event. We shared the cabin with our friends. Plenty of room for us. Beautiful scenery. There were donkeys, horses, camels, chickens and pigs. My son is 5 and had a blast! If you are looking for some isolation and some rest this is the place for you!

Animal lovers dream

If you love animals or you just want to wake up with having donkeys over for coffee this is the best place ever. The cabins are great. if you want to pet animals its perfect. If you want to sit on the porch and watch the clouds go by this is the ideal place. Robin is such a nice host. This is our second time back. Perfect place for families.

Best stay ever!

If you love animals this is a great place to stay. Robin is the best host. Her whole farm is so much fun. Have stress? Petting the donkeys and mini horses and it just melts it away. The barn cabins are so adorable. The beds were super comfy and the furnishings are rustic and cute. But practical and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

A Wonderful Farm Getaway

Gorgeous little valley of donkeys, ponies, draft horses, camels, chickens, you name it! We had such a wonderful stay with our kitties. The cabin was perfect, equipped with everything needed. We will be back!

Wonderful Experience

Our family had so much fun at Kaleidoscope Ranch! The kids enjoyed helping feed the animals and Robin was very patient with them, answering all their questions. Most of the animals roam freely, and it was neat to see the mini horses hanging out by our cabin in the evening. It was a great getaway from city life for a few days.

Absolutely Amazing

This is my favorite vacation rental yet!! We stayed for 4 nights in the Blue Cabin. Our host, Robin, was incredibly kind and thoughtful. My kids were welcomed to come feed the animals twice daily. She patiently taught them about caring for the animals. All of the animals- camels, alpacas, donkeys, mini horses, goats, chickens, pigs, and one rabbit, seemed very happy and well cared for. Our cabin was just modern enough- all the comforts of home, but still rustic. We can’t wait to come back!!

Relaxing Getaway- Perfect for Families with Kids

We absolutely loved staying at the farm. Robin let my kid help with feeding and taking care of all of the animals every morning and evening, which was just perfect! She told us about how to care and feed all of the animals on the farm- all in a way that was easy to understand for my little one. If you are looking for some peace and quiet and to get away from the busy city- this is a wonderful place to visit, especially if you have children who enjoy being around animals. I would highly recommend this place!

SO MUCH FUN

I can’t say enough how amazing it was to wake up every day to miniature donkeys and alpacas roaming the property and grazing in front of our cabin while we had coffee on the porch! Walking with my 4 and 5 year old grandchildren across the pasture to pet the miniature donkeys every morning was the most amazing way to start the day! We loved getting to hold and pet the Polish chickens and the rabbit! The Draft Shire horses were beautiful too! The drive to the property was a little further than we had anticipated but the views and the animals made it ABSOLUTELY worth it!

Perfect for animal lovers!

The kids are still talking about the little donkeys and gathering eggs from the chicken coop. We caught a bass and cooked out using the fire pit. It’s like staying at petting zoo! Cabin’s are newly built and stocked with everything we needed. So much fun!
