"Vagabond Inn--a solid choice for a stay in Bishop. Our ground-floor room was spacious, with room for two queen beds, desk/dresser, two occasional chairs and off-set washroom/closet adjacent to the bathroom and all the standard amenities. Breakfast was above average, with a large selection of breakfast breads, boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, juices and good quality fresh fruit daily. We were pleased to find laundry facilities on site and abundant ice cubes, although the cold drink vending machines were out of order during our stay. Although the property is a little short on ambience and landscaping, we enjoyed the outdoor covered patio and saw other guests making use of the fish cleaning station near the laundry. The property was close to full every night of our stay and parking seemed a bit limited, although we found a spot after a late dinner every night. Vagabond Inn is centrally located, with a grocery store and restaurants within walking distance. The great asset of this property is the staff, who, from the front desk on are universally pleasant, helpful and polite. It was a little unsettling to learn that guests are permitted to bring their pets into all of the rooms, but the desk staff assured us that their cleaning standards are up to the challenge. It was certainly not a problem during our stay."
