We did not stay at the hotel even though we had already paid for the room. The hot tub was out, the room was old and the area around the hotel was not very nice. We did not feel comfortable staying there even though we could not get our money back.

Telephone in room did not work. Hot tub was out of order, even after I called earlier in day to confirm. No hot water in room 1st day. Dirty linens in large baskets all over property. Pool water was merkey. DEFINITELY NOT HOW IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN THE PAST!! WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!

We stayed here a couple years ago and we had no issues so i was really surprised with our stay this time. We got to the hotel at 245 and had booked 2 rooms. We were told our rooms would be ready in 30 minutes to an hour so we left and about 20 minutes later our friends got there and they were able to get one of rhe rooms that we booked so we went back to get our other room and was now told it would be another 2 hours. They decided to put us in a different room that was ready. Our friend's had asked for some extra towels sonce the rooms inly cine with 2 and they were a family if 4 so i asked for more towels also. Yhey saod they would have a maod bring them

Big Pine girls trip

Lesson learned to check what else is going on in the city during our stay. The fair was in town and a lot of the workers were staying in the same hotel. We were on the bottom floor and the upstairs occupants were so loud and it sounded like they were marching and dropping stuff on the floor. We couldn’t sleep the night before our hike because of the noise. We did complain to the front desk but were told nothing good be done. Continental breakfast was decent. It had bagels, premade waffles, cereal (cornflakes were stale), juice coffee, fresh fruit, milk, breads. Room was clean. Pillows are small and soft.

Overall we had a nice stay (considering we'd been camping for the few days prior), the room was comfortable but the shower never warmed up all the way and the lobby smelled so much of cleaning supplies or some kind of chemical I was gagging by the time I was checked in. The next morning it was even worse, no way I could have eaten in that room, the fumes were awful.

Easy and comfortable one night stay, my second time staying at Vagabond in the last year. Easy parking and very quiet. Breakfast options are basic but that’s fine by me as Eric Schat’s Bakkery is a couple blocks away and always a treat in the morning while in Bishop.
