GREAT Family Vacation for Us!

Pros: Staff was friendly. Price was awesome. Located convenient to stores (with kids is always a PLUS!)
Cons: It was perfect!
Location: Stores, eating and even a movie theater! Not to mention Santa's Village just a few miles away!
The hotel exceeded our expectations. Walking into the foyer we were greeted with friendly smiles and a HUGE beautiful Christmas tree. The entire hotel was super pretty and staff very helpful and nice. Our room was super comfy. Grocery store and restaurants located within walking distance as well as a movie theater and other establishments just 1 mile down the road. We stayed as a winter vacation and took the kids to Skypark Santa's Village for one of our days. Just 3 miles from the hotel! Kids LOVED the entire stay there :)

Ok rooms nothing special

We were on the first floor and heard every step from up stairs room. Also the heater/ac didn’t work and ended up opening the porch door to get some cool air. And dinner was terrible, orders prime steak and it was warm and under cooked. Also had to wait for waitress fro about 10 min till we got service. For a hotel at this level, there shouldn’t be any excuse for these bad services. Will probably go to big bear next time

Nice hotel close to the Village.

Pros: It was on the lakefront and had a great view of the lake. Most of the hotel staff were friendly. It was a beautiful area.
Cons: Keep the room in good repair (not fun to shave in the dark!) Food should be more affordable as this was a family hotel.
Location: It was on the lakefront so you could swim in the hotel pool or in the lake. It was within walking distance of the Village. Great path around the lake.
This appeared to be the best resort in the area. We had a room on the third floor overlooking the parking lot with a big oak tree in front of our patio. Our room was good except for the light being out in the shower area (we reported it, but nothing was done so maybe it wasn't just the bulb), the carpet had some stains (pet friendly hotel). We also had some trouble getting the room serviced; tried to call several times but the phone was transferred to the front desk who hung up on us once, then transferred us directly to VM without even answering another time. Restaurant was expensive so we only ate 1 dinner there and it wasn't very good. A small chicken breast for $24, then you have to pay additional for sides? The waitress wasn't really attentive; there were only 2 other tables with people at them so unless she was cooking, she wasn't busy. We had better service at the Belgian Waffle House!

Autograph? What was Marriott thinking?

Pros: Can't think of a thing.
Cons: Needs a lot of cleaning and maintenance work, as well as an overhaul of management.
Location: Once you escape the hovel in which you are staying, the area of Lake Arrowhead is lovely.
Marriott must be desperate for properties under the Autograph label. After surviving the nightmare check in, I thought the worst was over. Not true. The room was awful. It was hot in the room, and the ac did not function properly. There were dried blood droplets on the bathrom counter, as well as on the towels. The faux suede chair adjacent to the desk was very badly stained. I don't really want to think about what that was about. The carpet was stained as well, and the screen door to the balcony had a hole in it, rendering it useless. The desk top had a big burn spot right in the middle. As if all of this was not enough, the room across the hall was occupied by people who had an all night party in their room, keeping everyone in the vacinity awake most of the night. In spite of guest complaints, the staff did little to nothing, and the party continued for hours. I heard a manager tell the party room that he could hear them all the way in the lobby (the offending room was on the second floor and easily a hundred yards from the lobby), but he was obviously intimidated by the noise makers, and the noise only became worse. Management never returned to deal with the issue again. I heard numerous guests come out and complain directly to the party people, but it did no good without the support of management. Perhaps this property once met the standards of Marriott to be labeled an Autograph property, but those days are clearly gone. It's time for Marriott to take another look.

Amazing Location, Comfortable Hotel

Pros: We loved the spacious lodge-like lobby, big fireplace, lovely grounds, AMAZING LOCATION at the water, and friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Worn out sofa, moldy ceiling in shower, sliding door to bathroom offers little privacy, limited room service menu. Ice Machine was out of order.
Location: The village was almost completely closed down due to weather, which was annoying. But we found the beautiful snowy world that we were hoping for.
We live in Venice, and went looking for snow, and really lucked out with our timing to arrive right after a snowfall. Lake Arrowhead was a winter wonderland, and the hotel was charming. We loved the spacious lodge-like lobby, big fireplace, lovely grounds, AMAZING LOCATION at the water, and friendly, helpful staff. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view, and would have been a 5 except for a VERY worn sofa that should have been replaced a few years ago and moldy patches on the shower ceiling. Also, the sliding door to the bathroom does not offer much in the way of privacy, and we could hear every word that our neighbors said through the shared door. The restaurant and cafe were very convenient, especially since most of the village was closed due to weather (???) (gone skiing, perhaps), and we enjoyed what we ordered from the very limited room service menu.

What a beautiful place to stay. We were there when the trees were starting to turn and it was spectacular. The restaurant is also very good, with a friendly staff. Would go back any time.

lake view. very clean and classy looking.

stayed here for a last minute trip and couldn't get any big bear hotels. 20 min away from snow valley. we were lucky enough that this location didn require snow chains which is a hassle if this was only a short trip.

Fantastic resort and location!

Pros: That I was upgraded to a lake room due to low capacity. Very nice staff. Beautiful rooms.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Lake Arrowhead Village had cute stores and is adjacent. I was there to relax, so I didn't get out and do much nearby.
I loved this place! And I'd recommend to everyone. It was gorgeous, and had a ton of amenities. I was even upgraded to a lake side room because there weren't many people there when I was (late September). The facility was so pretty, and I loved being able to walk down to their private beach as well as the Lake Arrowhead Village. My only complaint was that I didn't have more time to stay!
