Summer 2025: Needs work, maybe a work in progress

At check-in I was given key cards that didn't work. Then I found out the room was occupied. Another employee said they make mistakes like that all the time. Was given a new room. I was given a Gatorade for the inconvenience. Knock at the door at 10:50 pm by "housekeeping" (it was the barkeep). They opened the door before I could get to the door. They said it was to see if the room was occupied Had to ask for more towels. Never delivered. Room had soap and lotion but no shampoo or conditioner. Breakfast was tiny muffins in bags and some fruit and coffee that I didn't try. Pool and spa/hot tub closed indefinitely. Hall on first floor smells bad and would be a problem for asthmatics. The smell didn't really permeate the room though. Bathroom door didn't close and latch properly. Lack of luggage carts. It's not all bad. The hotel was quiet. Maybe because they have a form relating to their $30 deposit listing forbidden activities like parties and forbidden things like rose petals, glitter, and silly string. It also says a max of 1 child per room. I would like to think that they are taking an old hotel and refreshing it to make it nice again. I like the ye olde Holi-dome format (rooms surrounding and looking out over a common pool and play area). Except that was all closed. Had booked two double beds, got a king and a double. The bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was cold. Water pressure was great. Lots of parking space, mostly empty.
Renovations in 2025. Lots of water stained ceiling tiles.

Hotel was severely run down. Not reflecting the pictures on Expedia, very misrepresented. We were shuffled between multiple rooms. Door didn't lock properly. Linen on beds was disgusting. And the entire place smelt like cigarette and pot smoke.

No elevator service, no pool. Doors did not close securely. Hallways were dark. Everything was dirty and water damaged. Some coordidors closed looked like squatters were living there. Hallways reaked of marijuana. Guests were loud and yelling all hours of the night. Rooms keys failed multiple times for us and others. With rooms and elevators closed, they expected my disabled mother to climb stairs. It took them 45 minutes to find a room on the first floor. On the positive side, staff were polite and coffee was good.

I would never stay here again. Upon check in, they didn’t have the 2 rooms I paid for available, there was no pool open, thin blankets, AC barely worked, key cards were spotty. Almost every area inside was closed due to renovations. The bathroom tub was rusted & they didn’t come in to clean the entire stay. Didn’t send in new towels or blankets. Didn’t check in on us one time. The phones didn’t work in the rooms so you had to go to the front desk every time you needed something & there wasn’t anyone available for minutes ( even with ringing the bell they had on the desk). It was a mess from start to finish.

Don’t do it.

We figured a cheap hotel for one night couldn’t be that bad. We were wrong. There was mold in the rooms, dripping ceilings all over the hotel (buckets were out in the hallway to collect water), no amenities were available (specifically the pool that my kids were excited about), the rooms just felt damp and smelly, the halls were dark, it was not a nice hotel. The main lobby has no a/c, the front desk staff was new and while he was nice, he didn’t know much so it was hard to get answers for anything. The pictures on the website aren’t even accurate, the lobby doesn’t look like it’s shown, rooms are not that clean and put together (plus, none of them had comforters!). It’s not worth the cheap price, stay somewhere else!

Needs to be Renovated

This hotel needs to be closed and renovated. The pool and restaurant were closed. There were buckets in the hallways catching water. Many rooms had leaks in the ceiling. Some of our family had to change rooms because of a leaky roof. I felt sorry for the staff. It seems like they have new owners, and the staff are all new and cannot do much about it.

This Trip Sucked So Hard We Left Early

My family and I booked the 4th of July weekend away for two reasons: to not hear fireworks and to use amenities. We do this every year, but this is the first time we've stayed at this hotel. We booked this one specifically because of all the amenities: pool, arcade, casino, hot tub, sauna, breakfast, restaurant and bar. After we got there and checked in we saw signs saying no pool, hot tub, sauna, restaurant, or bar. This was a huge upheaval of all our plans and the property stated they would not do any refunds due to their "renovations", regardless that we did not know about these beforehand and would not have stayed otherwise. We trucked on and headed to our room. Only to be met with only one working elevator (of 3) on the opposite side of where our room was. It was so rickety it gave our kid a new fear of elevators. The ice and vending machines on our floor were broken. The door to our room was bubbled and would not open without a hip check. We were met with an overwhelming "peppermint" chemical smell. The bathroom tub was molding and rusted. There were no overhead lights. The closet mirror door was off track and threatening to fall. 1 bed's headboard wasn't attached to the bed and the other bed didn't have a headboard at all. Heater kicked on and made the room smell like burning. The "arcade" was four games, two of which didn't work. We could still hear the fireworks. The "breakfast" was gross fruit and dry muffins. We ended up checking out a day early. Never again.

The property is under major renovations and many of the amenities are not available, including the pool, sauna, hot tub. This information should be posted on their website so the customers can make informed decisions. The air conditioning is not working every where, the Continental breakfast was 3 varieties of the cheapest Walmart muffins available and some fruit. Only one elevator works, and it is very dark and hard to navigate. Our bed was comfortable, but I had to clean the jetted tub before using, and there was a ceiling tile missing exposing the very old air conditioning unit in the ceiling. We had hoped for a pleasant stay, but we will be going elsewhere next time.

Do not stay here until reviews improve!!!

Hotel is undergoing renovation and should be closed during this time!! There was clearly a flood because loud fans are in the halls and the carpet in my room was damp. Original room had the following that did not work: fridge, light over bed, telephone. We got locked out because our keycard did not open the courtyard-facing door to our room. We ended up asking for a room switch, and half the lights did no work in the new room. Also, I found out at 11pm that the previous tenants had clogged the toilet (disgusting contents) and housekeeping did not seem to notice this when they cleaned. Thankfully, the maintenance guy who came in was very nice and helpful. The hotel advertises a pool, and that is the only reason we booked this hotel. But, it was not working. The front desk person just kept blaming the past owners on the issues. But, with this many issues, close the hotel for a couple of weeks, instead of trying to make money off unsuspecting people.
