Tiny room. Just big enough for a queen bed and space to move around it. Bathroom to the side. No staff. Had to go to restaurant down the street to find out what room I was in. Apparently manager also runs a restaurant.?? No place to set suitcase. I don't know how two people can move around in there. Bed was comfortable. Linens and towels were nice. Fridge was good with a freezer compartment. This is a very old and small motel with maybe 9 rooms ??. I didn't drink the water because I didn't know what condition the pipes were in. Shower was ok. Parking area was small. Not very many choices in Austin, NV, but if there's a next time for me, I'd look into a B&B. The other motel in Austin was no better.

It was quiet, adequate, but a small room. The bathroom was remodeled and roomy. But there were no staff present at all and it was expected that we call upon arrival to check in. But, there is no cell phone service in the area!! Fortunately we could use Starlink with T Mobil otherwise what a nightmare it would have been!!!

No shops, one place to eat…hamburgers and fries are the only menu items.. very expensive $15.00 hamburgers, a can of coke was $3.00.. cash only. The cook,server was at least 90 and shuffled! The hotel was the closest to Bates Motel that you could get Gond outside of a studio lot. No hot water, the heat worked well… as it was rainy and snowed throughout the night.

‘Cozy’ really describes the room we stayed in! Although tiny, the accomodatuons were very clean, the sheets were crispn& white, the heater was perfect (it was 18 F that night!) and the bathroom was spacious. Highly recommend! Austin is a very small town, but we ate a delicious chicken wings and fries dinner at a charming historic bar across the street (the only place serving food and drinks that night). The bar’s owner was a charming character and made our night a memorable one.
