The staff here were very nice. The only thing is no one wears a uniform. Just t-shirts and jeans. You have no idea who works there. I have NEVER seen this in a hotel. The property is older and definitely needs a makeover. I stayed here since they did have a restaurant for breakfast and lunch. On Saturday I go down to grab something to then be told “It’s not open”. Though advertised and had a menu in the room for room service. The price I paid for this hotel was ridiculous. With zero of the amenities that were advertised. There was a concert the first night we stayed and someone was being carried by her friends. I don’t mind this as much as we have all had our fun and it’s not the hotels fault. She had puked all over the one entrance to the hotel. I’m only saying this because when the front desk was told, they did immediately clean it up. You could tell at some point this hotel was amazing. Now it’s just forgotten.

This Hotel Made Me Feel Welcome!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, great view, good location, very friendly staff, good food, free parking, beautiful room, comfortable bed, fast internet connections, good choice of cable stations including hdtv
Cons: no free breakfast, taxi service limited
As a single lady traveling alone I really appreciated the genuine friendliness of this lovely hotel located in downtown Augusta. I was traveling on some business with a local bank and needed to stay close to my jobsite. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed my stay. The room was very nice and clean, the bed was one of the best I have slept on in my travels, the restaurant had a great omelette that I really enjoyed, and the penthouse level bar was also a treat for a single lady to enjoy. The view was spectacular and it was a refined and laid back place to enjoy a glass of wine! I loved the entire staff and will definitely return on my next visit!

i felt comfortable and welcomed

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
i staid at this hotel and dont understand the complaints made. the staff was very nice. the room was nice and comfortable. i felt safe, the hotel had security on duty and when i went out around down town there was a constant presence of police officers. the restuarant had a good breakfast menu and at lunch a really good southern buffet. was able to relax at the penthouse bar over looking the city and a very friendly bartender.

Dirty & Dated

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Nothing close, Noisy
A 70's hotel that is still stuck in the 70's. The staff was nice, but the hotel was not very clean. The AC in the room was super noisy and was either on or off. Go somewhere else if you can.

Terrible hotel.

The front desk woman who checked me in was pleasant, but that is the only nice thing I have to say about this hotel. It's old, smells like cigarette smoke everywhere you go, even in the elevators. There is no on-site reataurant and the Penthouse lounge was depressing. The neighborhood is not safe, as well. Within 5 minutes of leaving the hotel to find something to eat for dinner, I was approached twice for money. And when I walked down to the River Walkway, two young men kept yelling at me to try to get my attention. I travel a lot, and lived in Brooklyn for almost 15 years, and if I hadn't pretended to be on my cell phone as I quickly walked to find other people to be around, I KNOW I would have been mugged. And this was all before the sun had even set!

Nice Hotel

We came in town for a wedding, so we did not spend alot of time in the room; but it was a nice room. We had a king bed, which was very comfortable. The overall look of the hotel could use some updating, but we had no problems with water, air, or service. Everyone was very accomodating and friendly. It was a little expensive for what it was (we stayed in a 4 star hotel in downtown DC for less), but thats probably because its peak wedding season. Its not located in the best part of Augusta, but if you stick to the main roads (Broad and Greene) you'll be okay.

The Right Place

I needed a place right in the 7th-street part of town near the river, and the Ramada was the right location. The desk clerks were accommodating and friendly. The room was fine. A beer at the bar on the roof was handy. Not many people around. Parking was convenient. Breakfast in BJ's on the main floor was fine. I didn't need dinner, but did note that BJ's wasn't open in the evening.

Pleasant surprise

What a pleasant surprise I had staying at this downtown hotel. I was so pleased with the nice staff - everyone was so friendly and helpful. I had a beauftiful room with a great view of the lovely downtown area. The food was great - a real southern treat for lunch. The roof top lounge was a nice place to relax and meet with my business colleagues - it was a really nice stay with the kind of genuine kindness I haven't seen in a long time. I highly recommend this very nice property and will look forward to a return visit.
