Felt this property was overrated. Had Deluxe 2 bdrm suite. Barely worth 3 stars. 1- Beds made daily & trash emptied, BUT NO other cleaning. 2- Water temp varied significantly from very hot to cold in shower even though temperature control remained in same position 3- A/C was unit in main area only & did not cool either bedrooms 4- Got stuck in elevator on 11th floor for 20 min while emergency crew called 5- Kitchen was VERY sparsely furnished. Not even a coffee pot

Overnight pre cruise . Perfectly fine for this as short Will to terminal. We were couples and had booked 2 x doubles but could only get a double and 2 singles on check in . One room was not available till 5 , 2 hours after should have been available.

Property central location. Room was upgraded on arrival and extra nights charged at same rate for the upgraded room. We were even able to check in super early! A few issues in the room with some of the appliances but I think they just hadn’t been reported before. Mentioned to reception when we left. Would definitely return if in Auckland.

Location is great being right in the center of the city. However value for price we paid wasnt great. Broken tiles, stove pot burn marks all over the bench, no plugs in sink, leaking toilet and the musky smell the moment you exit the lifts and enter into the room made our stay unplesent. We also had little toilet paper with no replacement roll.

We liked the kitchen facilities and the location was close to shopping, attractions and the harbour. There is no AC in bedrooms (only living area) and one of the 3 mattresses needs replacing.

It is walking distance to grocery shopping, restaurants, the harbour, SkyTower, HOHO etc. I also liked how friendly and accommodating they were.

Barclay Suites

Very central, convenient location. Nice and clean but is an older property. Missing plug in ensuite basin and shower drain was iffy too. It had everything you needed to have an enjoyable stay.
