Nice hotel in Tana
Chalet Des Roses is a nice hotel with a restaurant that served good food. Staff are friendly and efficient. They can help you get taxis and provide drinking water refills. The breakfast is good. The hotel is used mainly by international your groups. Leave your valuables at the hotel because gourist theft is common even daytime in Tana.

Nice hotel in a dangerous city
The hotel (and restaurant) was fine. My only complaint was I reserved an air conditioned room and was given a fan room (they said all the AC rooms were full but didn't offer a price reduction). Leave your valuables locked at the hotel - 2 of our 16 tour group members were mugged in daylight.
