"The check in process was efficient and I had friendly service. The main lobby area was clean and is nicely laid out. My room was in building two. I was a little surprised there was no elevator but there are only two floors so I can understand why not. The wood floor in the hallways was very nice to see as the carpeting in other hotels gives me pause. Unfortunately their was an off smell, likely emanating from the trash can placed just inside the 1st floor door. The room itself was large and the bed was comfortable. The room was dark though, lighting needs to be improved. The bathroom was ok, mainly because I could see signs of mold and rust. It was nice to have a kitchenette but the pots and pans were in disrepair. The plates, cups and silverware were good however. I was somewhat disappointed that there was no palmolive or some type of dish soap as I never trust the cleanliness of dishes to prior occupants or the hotel staff. The only cleaning supply was one pod for the dishwasher. The most disappointing thing with the kitchen, besides the pots and pans was that the microwave did not work. I was told there was a recent changeout and maybe the room got missed...kinda unacceptable to me. And finally, I saw a lot of reviews about the great breakfast. Maybe this wknd was an off wknd, but the breakfast to me was pretty bad."

"Checked in on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 pm. We had to wait about 5 minutes until the desk clerk came to the counter to check us in. We were on the first floor. The A/C was on, but the room smelled musty. That was just the beginning, the carpet looked tired, stained, and worn. Even felt damp and sticky. The sofa/ bed was out of date and dark. If you removed the cushions, there were crumbs, candy papers corners so I sat on the desk chair instead, and my husband sat on the bed to watch tv. There was a piece of what looked like candy or snack food on the floor under the sink in the bathroom. As for the little Keurig type coffee maker, do not use. It was filthy. House keeping is not doing a complete job. The bed was soft, high to get into, but the pillows were too soft to sleep on. Made from chunks of foam. You have to keep adjusting the pillow to get a decent nights rest. We had their continental breakfast. Now mind you we arrived in plenty of time to get a hot breakfast before venturing out for the day. The french toast was hard as a board, the yogurt was on a serve yourself machine it was warm. Eggs were watery. My husband ended up getting sick from the breakfast. We have decided that next time we come down to the beach to visit family, we will stay at our usual hotel and pay the extra money, for a better time, and not worry about getting sick from the food"

"Technically, they are correct in advertising a free breakfast but Froot Loops and waffles without syrup are really poor choices. The water in the shower took over five minutes to get warm and the shower door was broken. Additionally, the shower floor was moldy, and the toilet seat had many scratches. The bed was comfortable, and the AC kept the wrong quite cool. I did not try the coffee machine or the microwave. The refrigerator worked fine."
