Delight in the vintage details and history of the house with a king bed in the downstairs main bedroom, and two sweet twin beds upstairs. The house includes a large upstairs studio for artists, yogis, dancers, quilters, whatever your heart desires. Equipped with basic yoga and art supplies and a large work table and beautiful light. While it is intended to be a creative space for your stay, it can also house an extra twin bed for larger groups. The accessible friendly bathroom boasts the original cast iron tub for a lovely soak, as well as a new shower and full laundry. There is a lovely enclosed porch for enjoying three seasons free of mosquitos. Enjoy beautiful nights dining outside in the private fenced garden, eating seasonal veggies and fruits when in season, and watch the stars come out with our outdoor fire pit. Join us for daily chores in the gardens, picking flowers and produce, or gathering eggs in the coop - all family friendly! Annually we'll make preserves, pick apples, press cider, and take honey off the bee hives. All are welcome to join! You can even get a lesson in splitting fire wood, making a fire, and good old fashioned campfire cooking. Ride vintage bikes and stroll down the country lane enjoying the local cows, or explore the myriad nearby areas for hiking and fly fishing. Nearby attractions include the historic Virginia City and Nevada City (10 minutes), Ennis (30 minutes) and Butte (1.25 hours). The local Tobacco Root Mountains and Gravelly Range are bursting with wildflowers in the summer months. Local rivers include the Ruby River, Madison, and Jefferson Rivers, all within an hour of driving. Looking for further activities? Yellowstone National Park is a day trip away at two hours. We can recommend horseback riding outfitters and fly fishing guides upon request.
