Flying Tips & Tricks How do I find my flight number?
  • You'll be given a travel itinerary when you finish your booking. In this document you'll come across your flight number. The first couple of letters and single digit indicate your airline name (these are known as IATA airline codes). This is followed by one, two, three or four digits — the flight number.
How early can you check bags for a flight?
  • To have plenty of time to drop your luggage, clear customs and arrive at the correct boarding gate, arrive at the airport three hours before an international flight. For a domestic flight, it's two hours. Even if you've already chosen your seat and received your boarding pass online, it's worth noting that there are closing times for luggage drop. It's one hour before departure for international flights, and 45 minutes if you're traveling domestically. Of course, times can differ between airlines, so it pays to check these details ahead of time.

This was the worst flight I have been on. My husband got so sick on the plane he felt so dizzy that he couldn’t keep his head up and was constantly throwing up . Staff did nothing about it. Customer service was so bad. Our baggage was delayed for 4 days and no update was given. We had gone to India for my brothers wedding and I had repurchase all my clothing again because I had no idea when my baggage was going to reach. Had very bad experience. Because of that we had to do business class coming back and it was very expensive doing it last minute.

I’ve been in Irkustk three days and my last piece of luggage is still not here. It’s a large 70 pound bike box. Apparently it is still in New York at JFK, but no one is helping to get it here. The baggage number is #5006261304. We put in a lost luggage for three days ago and my large cardboard box is still not here and I’m very unhappy with your airline!

The cabin was way too hot. We were harrassed for our carry on despite the flight was only 1/3 full. Drinks were warm, no ice. Attendants only offered water, etc twice on a 9 hour flight

I had one hour to make the flight to Moscow, there was no one there in Munich to help, was told to go on place and there was no one working, I ran back and fourth no one to be found. So I did not make the flight and was told pay 400 euro to rebook or sorry, good luck in Munich! I was shocked. Aeroflot did rebook but only after paying 499 euro! I thought I should have just been booked on the next flight, but they said only if you pay. I want the 400 euro refunded. Basically I was held prisoner until I did pay. Not to mention I ended up spending another 14 hours or so waiting for flights. I am totally shocked and unhappy as to how I was treated.

We had to pay 70 euros per bag (our original flight purchase did not include bags) but 70 Eros for each first bag is very expensive. Secondly they did not have a way to pay by card. They required cash. The ATM nearby was not working so I had to be escorted outside of security to another ATM. Then they did not have change when I paid in cash. They were going to under change me until I made change with a Stranger. Lastly the security checks all of the way to Moscow were obsessive.

Flight attendants were rude and pushy. No smiles, not helpful at all, were very quick to walk away and hardly said anything. Everything seemed like a bother. One of them spilled water on me and didn’t stop to acknowledge it or apologize. Two of them were very rude after I kindly asked them to repeat what they were saying because I couldn’t understand them when they were serving meals. One of them came by to tell me to put my seatbelt on and when I apologized and asked her to repeat what she had said, she pointed to the sign and rolled her eyes at me. Poor customer service skills. Worst in-flight service I’ve ever experienced.
