The picture postcard impressions of this hotel are not even close to reality.
We booked two rooms and rejected our first offering as one had a broken window closer with no flyscreen, the second room just stank beyond belief. We were shown to an alternate room (two bedroom family room) and rejected that also. It had been used by a smoker (despite this being supposedly not permitted in the hotel) and the lingering smoke residue was not suitable for an asthmatic. The bathroom in this room was also a disgrace as the only place one could apply makeup was in the actual toilet which had bad lighting and zero bench/storage space. The bathroom had no mirrors at all and very bad light.
The staff moved us to a chalet which was acceptable but still not up to the value of the very expensive rooms we booked. Furnishings old and shabby, bed way too soft (old?) TV totally non functional.
As has been mentioned in other posts, this could be a nice hotel if the owners would just update and maintain it., But they are clearly more interested in their room full of gaming machines which was new, clean and obviously meticulously maintained.
This is not a good hotel. It is a pub (apparently the food is good but we never tried it) full of pokie machines with a few very badly maintained bedrooms attached. The staff were fantastic and did an excellent job trying to help us but the reality is that there are far better alternatives available at much cheaper prices.
