Deo Na Mara was a lovely cosy bungalow.
Deo Na Mara was a lovely cosy bungalow. Exceptionally clean. Great location 2 miles from the nearest beach. The weather was unkind to us but we had great days out visiting Ullapool, Gairloch, Shieldaig, Applecross Peninsula. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Absolutely loved the location of this property - the view from the garden was spectacular and the sunrises were fantastic. The area is amazing and we loved spending time on all the wonderful beaches (including Firemore which is less than a 10 minute drive down the road so very convenient).
The cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped with everything you need for a great holiday. We have stayed in much more luxurious properties but you can’t beat this cottage for location and fantastic value for money. We would love to return, thank you for having us.

We had a fantastic time in Deo na Mara from 8th-15th August.
We had a fantastic time in Deo na Mara from 8th-15th August. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owners lived in the next house and were very friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. The view of the Loch from the front of the house was lovely and the gardens were fully secure for our escapist collie, which made the holiday more relaxing. We watched a pod of porpoise from the front window for about 40 minutes using binoculars on our first day. We canoed on Loch Ewe, Loch Maree and spent time on Firemore beach. The little shop in Poolewe was very friendly and well stocked for last minute provisions. We thoroughly recommend staying in this holiday home and hope to return in the future. Thank you very much.

We enjoyed our second visit to Deo Na Mara.
We enjoyed our second visit to Deo Na Mara. The weather was kind to us and we sat in the garden some mornings. We visited all the local beaches and enjoyed a walk or a picnic. We highly recommend the area and the cottage. Although with it being warm outside, the heating was overbearing and we had to override it to get a comfortable night's sleep.

superb location, a fantastic area, even by the very high North West Highland standards, lovely welcome food and flowers, very clean, friendly host and neighbours, great garden, a very good cottage.
only things I would have liked to change - found the settees a bit too low and squishy for our tastes, also one of our dogs had a bit of a problem with the slippery floors. A rug in the living room may have helped. (otherwise very dog friendly.) Would also have liked a bread knife.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and have no negative comments to make at all.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and have no negative comments to make at all. The cottage has beautiful views over loch Ewe and the mountains beyond. It is in a very peaceful location, with a large sandy unspoilt beach along the lane and wonderful walks within easy reach. The cottage itself was extremely clean and well equipped. The host was very welcoming, helpful and unobtrusive. The location is fairly isolated, which suited us but the village of Poolewe, about 5 miles away, has a general shop, Hotel and some other amenities. We certainly plan to return for another holiday here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Deo Na Mara.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Deo Na Mara. The property itself was clean and comfortable, with all we needed for our stay. A nice touch was the welcome pack provided. The secure garden was perfect for our dog, he loved it. The view is stunning across Loch Ewe.
Poolewe has a shop, hotel which serves meals, and nearby Gairloch also has vets and a pharmacy.
Walking opportunities in the area are great, whether the high peaks or low level. A fantastic place to watch wildlife too. Deo Na Mara is somewhere we would be happy to stay again.
