"I visited in the off season, but the hotel is lovely. If you're used to staying in the cookie cutter hotels that all look the same, this hotel will surprise you. It's all furnished with antiques. There's so much charm and personality here. It's delightful! Don't hesitate to come here thinking the hurricane has everything closed. Lake Lure is very near "full pool" now. The town is open for business and could use your support. The staff helped me out with tips on local events and attractions. Go to Lake Lure! Stay at the Inn!"

"Well there are NOT 3 Hot tubs at this resort as advertised. There is ONE. It is small and attached to an indoor pool, full of children, and closes at 8pm. Also there is a 7$ per day fee to use it and this must be paid at the time of check-in. There isn't an option to pay for using the hot tub or amenities pass for just part of the stay. It's all or none. I ended up paying 70$ for 3 of us for 4 days and only used the hot tub for about 1 hr the day that we arrived. I inquired about a partial refund but was told by the resort to ask the place where you check in (which is about a 5-10 min drive away) and was told by the check in peope to ask the resort. #TheRunAround I just gave up. What a waste of money that was. 😑 Other thank that the room was pretty clean. The place is a bit dated. The TVs are old and only use local cable without Internet or sharing/casting capabilities. The nearest stores are a good 20 min drive. We did have a good time tho, overall. And the jacuzzi bathtub in the room kinda made up for the hot tub issue.... But I wish I would have known that there was only one hot tub on site and about the hours and fees before booking as that was my gf primary request. Idk that I'd stay at this place again, but if so, I would definitely plan my trip differently knowing what I know now. Hope this helps someone else.."

"What a great house! This was by far the cleanest and most well appointed VRBO we've ever been in. Hot chocolate and bottled water ready to go in the kitchen and makeup towels and feminine products handy in the bathrooms. Beds, pillows, linens, new electronics and appliances were top notch. Great location to be close to Rutherfordton and not far from chimney rock and lake lure. Also just 2 blocks from the best ice cream shop we've ever been to. We'll for sure be back to this one!"
