Penny Hedge, Whitby by Marston's Inns
"No really complaints, no lift so stairs were a bit of a pain with bags and room was a bit ratty. Loose loo roll holder, walls a bit grubby and the shower gave surges of scalding hot water but pretty ok with it overall"

Royal Whitby
"We booked a family room and asked for one with easy wheelchair access, they don't have any, all family rooms involved steps - however they had free of charge given us a second accessible room next door to a family room, just without going down the steps. Really do appreciate going above and beyond with that. Rooms were great, clean and well prepared, large TVs, good Tea-Tray. Interior to corridors is a matt dark grey colour, most odd, makes the corridors dark, but quirky and you can see the sloped floors of this old building. Very good condition, no complaints on the hotel, Just one problem, a band was playing until 11:30pm and you could hear the bass, boom, boom rattling through the building and shaking the windows. Really was very unpleasant. So our first time at this hotel, mixed experiences, above and beyond on service and support for our wheelchair needs but spoilt by the music, too loud and obtrusive right into the bedrooms. We didn't have any food in the hotel so can't comment."
