We booked a room that was supposed to be smokeless. Our room had smokers in prior to us occupying it for the night of July 19/2025. Our pajamas actually ended up smelling of smoke when we put them on again the next night at a different hotel. This is the worst hotel I have ever slept in ever. It wasn’t worth staying at no matter what the cost.

The worst conditions in my 40 years of traveling

A strong chemical smell was detected immediately. The floor was slippery with an oily sheen, and I did not let my bare feet touch it. My friend lifted the toilet seat and it fell off in his hands. I was not able to get the AC fan to “low“. Around midnight, we found a cockroach in our bed, and checked out.

Staff was supportive upon check in. Smells outside the room and inside the room weren’t very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and newly renovated along with a few pieces of furniture throughout the room.

Hotel of absolute last resort!

From check in to check out the staff couldn’t have been colder and less inviting. The entire hotel reeked of cigarettes and marijuana. It looked like there were people living there full time. When we arrived the police were there which was our first red flag that we’d made a big mistake booking this room. The room itself was ok at best. It was old, there were patches on the walls that hadn’t been painted, the door had patches on it as well. The bathroom was like a public rest room but usable. We didn’t even want to sleep under the sheets as the whole room look creepy. The floor was wet when we walked in, the bed had seen better days, like in the 20th century. All in all, I barely slept and we checked out as soon as the sun came up. It was one of the most unpleasant hotel stays I’ve ever experienced and the unfriendly staff just made it that much worse.

Hotel was okder and a bit outdated. Howevwr it has bewn redo e at one poi t in time. The air conditioning worked really well and it wasnt too noisy. The bed was comfortable for me and pillows were good too. Tub was stained but bathroom was sufficient. Not sure about the area. Didnt feel 100% safe but just watch tour surrounding like always. I felt the peice was absolutely ridiculous for a Red Roof. But we needwd a place as cloae to Asbury as possible without the beach rates. All in all, one and done. It met our needs.

This property is absolutely horrendous! Our bed was broken. The room reeked of marijuana. There was blood on the floor and walls. We felt very unsafe. Did not stay the second night. DO NOT PAY TO STAY HERE!
