I am not sure where to start. First off, these photos are extremely doctored. It is misleading and irresponsible on Expedia’s part. This room was not cheap. Almost $400. I brought my husband and two young children who were excited for a hotel stay and a night in Asbury. Upon check in I knew something was off. The exterior is completely dilapidated. There were people in pajamas wondering around and scowling. Pit bulls being walked, folks clearly living in their cars. We did not stay here as there was no lock on the door. See attached photo. Do not book this hotel. Expedia should really be ashamed. The staff did their best to be accommodating.

Everything about this place was just a little off. I did not sleep a wink because of the feeling that I was being watched. It seemed like some people lived there and when I left it appeared someone may have slept in their car. Not worth the money at all.

Stay was awful! First room ( ground floor) had a sliding glass door which couldn’t be secured so had to change rooms. Second room had faulty power outlets and coffee maker didn’t work. No oj at breakfast and again coffee maker didn’t work and had to use an urn labeled do not serve!

I was hopeful initially upon booking this stay. Upon entry into our room, we noticed there was trash in the garbage can, used hand soap in the bathroom, and a used towel hanging on the towel rack, the other was neatly folded. We told the front office and they moved us to another room. When we got in this room which was upgraded to a suite, which was appreciated, we noticed that the ac was not working. We tried to figure it out for about 30 minutes before again I walked down to the office, (the phone in the room didn’t work) and when I told the staff that the ac wasn’t working one of the women there told me to wait longer. I said we had already waited for 30 minutes and I know how a general thermostat should look when cooling. A gentleman came up and said he didn’t know but to wait longer. We gave it another 30 minutes, I went down again and they moved us to another room. We had already been at the property for about 1.5 hours. The last room the ac worked but the faucet in the kitchen had a pinhole in it that sprayed when used, the toilet leaked from the reserve tank whenever flushed, generally the property didn’t feel very clean or well maintained. It was a combination stay and long term tenants which was not made very clear during booking( perhaps an oversight on my part). Breakfast seemed like it wasn’t restocked it was simply first come first serve between the people staying for a few days and long term tennants. Overall the stay left much to be desired.

The property was HORRIBLE. The room we were provided did not have a security lock on the door and the door jam looked as though the room had been broken into. The room reeked of paint and was full of dust. There appeared to be a number of transient individuals that lived on the property and there was trash including discarded prescription pill bottles littering the parking lot. Due to the room and property conditions as well as concerns for our safety we did not stay at the hotel.

We got there late. And all my 3 kids exited for the pool the next thing you know. The pool was temporarily close due to waiting for an inspection. But they should of advertise this on the website. I would of rent something else that had a working pool.

Brief stay but will not repeat
I will not be staying at this hotel as it is in desperate need of renovation or proper upkeep. My room was clean, the bed linen didn’t appear fresh. There were 2 large flies in the room which made me feel uncomfortable as flies stay in environments that are usually not very hygienic. It was the first time I’ve been in a hotel and found flies in the room. I had to request towels and wash cloths for my room as there were only 2 towels in there and no wash cloths. The employees were polite and courteous. I was in a nonsmoking room and the person in the room next to me was a smoker so of course my kids and myself were exposed to their second hand smoke. I can’t blame the staff for this as people are dishonest these days.

Worst experience ever, didn’t have the room with two beds we booked. Instead they gave us a second room, which we found out the door didn’t lock. Tried to check out the next day because of this reason, and was incredibly difficult to get a refund back from. And on the way out another guest was in the parking lot with the police, say all his stuff from his room was stole.

DO NOT STAY HERE
The main reason we booked here was the pool. Which was chained shut and never open; we were told it "needed to be inspected by the city". The room was not clean, the table was sticky and gross. The staff was helpful and nice, which we know because they got us towels and blankets, which were missing, an ironing board, which was missing, and an iron, which was broken. The area is unsafe, we had a family member get pulled over by the cops who told them that "the police are always getting called in here" Both the front door and the bathroom door were broken. They did not shut properly, and you had to slam them to keep them closed. Breakfast was gross and was the same thing every day. AND I MEAN IT TASTED LIKE MONDAY ON WEDNESDAY. $200 service fee in case you destroy anything, which again, should tip you off. Sketchy people loitering. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS AWFUL PROPERTY. Wyndham should be ashamed, and they are usually good. Unsafe, Unclean, No Pool, Never Again!
