The Staff Don’t Care

The theme of this hotel is “we don’t care.” The staff were apathetic and never took the chance to go the extra mile. For example, coffee is included as part of breakfast, but when I ask for takeaway? “You must pay full price.” My shower drips water constantly? I call and tell them, then nothing happens. I have to listen to the noise all night long. No-one cares, which may be a reflection of the building that’s going up next door and slowly blocking the hotel from the water. Who knows. But unless you’re getting an incredible deal on this terrible hotel with no views and awful service, try something else.

The hotel is conveniently located in darling harbour, so it was easy for us to get on a tram and go to paddy's markets.The buffet breakfast was really good. Great food options for both adults and kids.

Nice city getaway

Staying 2 nights for a family trip. Check-in was quick and easy. However, when we got to our room, we were disappointed to be allocated an accessible room, which was not what I booked. We had to request a new room due to unhygienic stains in the bathroom. Second room was clean and comfortable, son was entertained at kids corner & holiday movie night and buffet breakfast was great. Great location with light rail, Darling Harbour & the Star. I would suggest stair access to be provided as at certain times, we’d wait for 3-4 lifts before getting in.

Terrible.

Between getting stuck in an elevator, waiting over an hour for a salad at the restaurant, and having the front desk refuse to bring up a medical delivery that came to the hotel for my kid, this has been a horrible stay. Not sure how this is a 4 Star property. Maybe 30 years ago, but I’d say skip this dump.

Great hotel for families

Such a great hotel. Buffet breakfast was delicious and well worth it. Parking is great for 4wd’s as there is parking with higher height restrictions. Easy walk into the city. Clean and friendly staff. Only downfall would be rooms have double beds, not queens.

I was upgraded to a suite which was unexpected and very nice. I thought the furniture was a little hard and not as comfortable as I would have liked. There was limited seating space in my room. The bed was very comfortable and clean.

Check your glass before drinking

Reception and check in were great. The Buffet Breakfast was really fresh and lots of variety. The room was average in both cleanliness and comfort. The glass I wanted to use for water had lipstick and what appeared to be some left over food on it. Really turned my stomach!
