The airport shuttle was a bit late. Another hotel shuttle dropped me at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable in spite of a strong, cold wind creeping through the doorjam crack. The only problem was the smoke being blown in with the cold wind. The staff was great - friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and spacious. Nice kitchen space, with a simple area to work or relax. The only issue was the walls are very thin. You could hear everyone and everything. It was like being a dorm room.

"I chose this hotel because it was very convenient due to its proximity to the Chinese Embassy, where I had to go to handle some paperwork. It is an average hotel in fair condition; the rooms are dated—as is the furniture—and the doors are slightly damaged. Some fixtures are old and loose—such as the main door lock—but it wasn't entirely bad. I would give it three stars."

"Unfortunately, my bathroom was dirty. There was no hand soap, and there was hair everywhere--behind the door, in front of the toilet, in front of the tub, etc. I had already unpacked for a 2 week stay in town, or I'd have moved. The hotel did call and offer to clean for me and to move me. I declined again, I had too much to repack."

"I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with this Hyatt property. I booked a room for March 6 but cancelled the reservation within about an hour after learning that my international travel plans had changed due to a major disruption overseas. A Hyatt representative even sent a waiver to the front desk confirming the charge should be waived. Despite cancelling immediately and never checking in or using the room, I was still charged. When I contacted the hotel, the manager refused to review the situation and stated that because the hotel was fully booked that night, a refund would not be issued. This was very frustrating, especially given the circumstances and the waiver that had already been sent. I have since escalated the issue to Hyatt corporate and hope they will resolve it fairly. I expected better customer service and understanding from a brand like Hyatt."
